Are Jamaicans Ready For A Second Female PM?

The first one only served ONE term in office, because the commonweal in Jamaica was impatient with her inability to deliver on her promises.

However, could Portia Simpson Miller deliver the goods this time around, (41 of the 63 seats)? I think not.

Jamaican men are extremely chauvinistic, and having a woman at the helm of government makes it extremely difficult to get policies moving within the male dominated echelons of the governmental bureaucracy.

Unemployment And Crime:

These two elements are an ongoing dilemma for any government to get a grip of.

Lack of employment leads to lawlessness and criminal activities. And when the young and educated leave school and college, and are unable to find gainful employment. Some will emigrate abroad in search of betterment, while others become impatient, angry, resentful of authority, and less concerned with Civic, Moral, Legal, and other Social responsibilities.

There is great concern about the Middle Classes demise in most developed and developing societies. And current reality shows a downward spiral in those traditional categories that was considered Middle Class.

Most developed and technological advanced societies today are experiencing economic changes that conflict with traditional roles, that the Middle Class played in societal dynamics. Hitherto, most Middle Class jobs/employment was found in those stable and permanent positions that mass production, and factory oriented means or production provided.

Current economic reality does not fit this criteria any longer, with the advent of the Internet, Nano Technology, and the computerization of most industries, and industrial development.

So What Is the Middle Class To Do?

Firstly, the jobs to be had or will be provided in the future are technologically oriented, computerized, and Internet based. These require the knowledge of computers, computer programming, and other Internet related technology.

Solar Energy is also an industry on the rise too. Which will require hands to make those panels, and to service them periodically too. These skills have to be learned, and I am sure job security will also be guaranteed, as we move closer to clean energy and technological demands.

The Traditional Professional Jobs:

The professions like the Medical community, (General Practitioners and Specialists), Nurses, Technicians, Lawyers/Attorneys, Banking and Finance. These are reasonably secure positions, and will always be in demand.

PRISONS ARE NOT INTENDED TO BE PRETTY:

This was taken from a report on france24.com TV. But what was the intention of incarcerating people anyway?

I think in the earliest days of penal colonies and camps, the idea was to punish those who broke the laws, or indulged in what the state felt was espionage, political unrest/dissent, and ethnic cleansing.

However, today in most developed countries that are affiliated with the United Nations are expected to honor the tenets of Human Rights Declaration, and most prisons seem to confirm to the basic expectations that are required, to ensure that all prisoners are treated humanely.

Humane treatment also has certain cultural connotations to it, because some would say that in China, Russia, Cuba, the united States, Eastern European countries, or (former Soviet Block Countries), the treatment therein is much to be desired.

Albeit, most ordinary people do not know what happens behind the prison walls in their respective countries, and most would never know anyway. But I presume most would want to believe that apart from the inmates paying for their crimes, they are also being re-habilitated with certain basic skills, and education, which would allow those who eventually leave that system to find gainful employment once again.

Russia Today/English TV has been implying in their reporting, that the people of Libya have been conned into believing that they won the national uprising. And when the dust settles, and the general elections are allowed. Those who emerge victorious will be lackeys for the western powers and commercial interests.

This kind of presumption worries me, for the simple reason that it dis-regards all of the deaths, injuries, loss of limbs, homes, and personal sacrifices paid, to make this day possible.

Of course it could not have been possible without the aerial bombardment and support of N.A.T.O. And the Libyan people requested this assistance from the outset, and was also prepared to allow for the loss of innocent civilian lives in the process of liberation. They saw it as a small price to pay for their long overdue liberation from oppression and stagnation.

Furthermore, your reporters at Russian TV may take the high ground, but how many foreign reporters are allowed in Moscow or any other City? And can Russians speak or write Freely on TV, or in the News Media in Russia?

I think not! The Libyans have won the Freedom to Speak, Write, and Dissent with this regime change!

LIBYA MOVES FROM DICTATORIAL PATRONAGE TO DEMOCRACY!

This will not be a smooth process for the new Libya. After forty years of dictatorship, without any form of political opposition or dissent allowed, or any formal governmental infrastructure that is not Gaddafi family oriented or managed.

What has to be done nationally is to allow the Interim Administration to set the ground rules and platform for a new collective representative platform of representatives, who truly reflect the various regions of the country, to prepare themselves for the National Election to Public Office.

This is not going to be an easy task, because the military defectors and general civilian revolutionaries, most of whom have shed blood, life, and limbs in the ousting of the Gaddafi Regime. Now wants to play a part in the new political administration nationally. This new awareness and voluntary involvement in the National Politics of Libya, will have to be seriously considered, and catered to.

Also any established military personnel should never be allowed to run for Political Office or Political Representation. Less we have a return to some form of military rule or dictatorship, hitherto experienced in Libya.

In most countries where there is a vibrant Labor Movement, Labor Day is celebrated for reasons like the following.

* Trade Unions historically are the representatives of workers and worker's rights in the work place.

* Trade Unions are supposed to be allowed to recruit members (without coercion or threats), in any work environment where there is more that twenty five members employed.

* Trade Unions are allowed on most societies where there is freedom to petition the government, and your employer for better wages, working conditions, disability benefits, health insurance, and the right to strike.

The Trade Union Movement In The USA:

Today, most trade unions that are still around here struggle to maintain their membership rolls, or to recruit new members, because most employers use every means necessary to prevent voluntary membership in the Unions that are operating in that work place.

Trade Unions generally are supportive of Democratic principles of government, and worker participation in the decisions in the work place, at all levels.

This attitude and desire often encounters serious bottlenecks and resentment from employers, who feel they are not supposed to listen to, or allow workers to tell them how to manage their businesses.

The Internationale:

This song is sung by Trade Union Movements/Worker's Organizations globally on Labor Day. It was first introduced in the former Soviet Union during the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution therein.

It also highlights the 1905, the Bloody Sunday massacremassacre of hundreds of demonstrators in St. Petersburg Square, renamed Leningrad, whom were murdered by the Czarist Palace Guards during the national insurrections prior to the fall of the Czar, and Czarist rule in Russia.

The Tripoli Blitz:

It was reported via Aljazeera TV live that N..A.T.O. supported a Special Forces Group from Benghazi as they used the sea port to enter the City of Tripoli, under the cover of NATO'S Air support. And when the under cover supporters/citizens of the Resistance in the city realized how close the Resistance forces were, they decided it was time to act.

And act they did, by coming out of the closet in several neighborhoods in Tripoli, and attacking all known and seen Security Personnel positions within the vicinity.

This people's uprising gained momentum, thus allowing the Resistance Forces to encounter less military resistance from Gaddafi's forces, as they proceed or headed towards the city. They captured and confiscated munitions and weaponry left by the fleeing Gaddafi's forces, which helped greatly, to enhance their munitions' strength and ability as they moved forward in the city of Tripoli.

If we allow the citizenry (especially the youths), to take matters in their own hands, because of some resentment. Then we might as well allow all citizens to have a firearm in a holster on their person, for self protection. These hoodlums MUST be stopped. By any means Necessary NOW.

These kids are merely playing copy cat like the adults they see in other countries recently, demonstrating sometimes violently on the streets of Europe.

Neighborhood Watch Groups:

Neighborhood Watch Groups should be established to protect your neighborhoods from these thugs. Arm yourselves with sticks and bats, to break some arms and legs of these hooligans. Because most would never get any prison sentences if caught and tried.

Military Intervention:

Then why not consider bringing in the Army to assist them in this regard. A military presence will most certainly send the message that we mean business. And no more violence will be condoned PERIOD.

What Spurred This Violence?

Now is not the time to ask WHY this violence flared up now? The facts will be determined when those arrested are interrogated at the Police Stations throughout the land. What has to happen now is for the violence to be PUT DOWN with utmost urgency.

And some semblance of peace will ensure afterwards, hopefully! If the Police are unable to quell this violence throughout the cities.

Organizing Black & Latino Youths For Making Sensible Choices!

I hear so much about Black and Latino youths getting mislead, using drugs, being incarcerated wrongfully, dropping out of school, not completing High School, and robbing people on the streets.

And then I ask myself, why is this so surprising (to say the least)? Then I ponder some age old family expectations which have served us well for decades, and seem to have evaporated in recent times.

Firstly, any decent family, be it single parenthood, both parents, of sibling guardianship, MUST ensure that the things they say and do in front of those children are credible, of high moral value, and is a good and emulating example.

Failing to be credible Role Models for our children sets the stage for them to look elsewhere for such Role Models. And very often the role models they choose are those that are depicted on television, in the movies, or in their immediate neighborhoods. Are not credible, and cannot gave them any substance or developmental upliftment that could aid their intellectual, spiritual, and social development.

The Correctional Facilities Are Filled With Blacks & Latinos:

These institutions are filled with Black and Latino youths and young men. Most of whom have been in and out of those facilities several times, with no end in sight. Most of whom have never stayed outside these prisons for any lengthy period, to develop any employment history to be eligible for meaningful employment with benefits.

So they would have to deploy any means necessary while outside. Some sell drugs, some rob and steal for a living in order to survive. And this eventually cause them to be re-incarcerated, with felonies as long as their arms.

Can Felons Be Organized To Better Themselves Economically?

Some can, but most will never make it, because our culture never really forgives the felon, or anyone that did his/her time in prison. That stigma or black mark stays on your resume for life. And any potential employer uses it as leverage to exploit you, pay you less, prevent promotional opportunities, and you are the first to be dismissed when someone steals from the employer, even if you are not the thief.

Former President Husney Mubarak, accused of Corruption and murder, appeared in Court today: The presiding Judge advised that all necessary documents be provided to the defense, so that they would be in a better position to defend their client Mubarak.

He also stressed that a CD, and other photo copies be provided too, to support this evidence preparation.

The Judge also reported that Mr. Mubarak will be placed in a hospital nearby, and would enjoy all the necessary care and medical attention that he had at Sharm El sheikh.

The court was adjourned shortly afterwards to re-convene in a few days hence.

What Is Multiculturalism?

Definition: The doctrine that several different cultures (rather than one national culture) can coexist peacefully and equitably in a single country. Therefore, these types of societies can also be described as Plural societies/cultures. Then what does these types of societies have to do to ensure that all ethnic/cultural groups get along well, without strife, hatred, partisanship, or stereotyping?

If the concept of Multiculturalism is truly going to work for the benefit of the entire commonweal, then the national policies must ensure there is equity in economic opportunities, job opportunities, educational opportunities, and the acquisition open to all. Political affiliation and association allowed to all, freedom of the press, TV, Internet, radio, and other media to all, and judicial representation or habeas Corpus for all who need or seek it.

All Are Supposedly Equal Except Others?

In some societies if you are not a member of the major ethnic or racial group, then you are socially, politically, and sometimes considered a second class citizen. This is overtly and covertly enforced via educational quotas, regional developmental quotas in funding programs, that cater to those second class citizens, and are treated socially as inferiors.

In the EU, and most of the other European countries currently, there is a growing trend to see all immigrants, especially Immigrants Of Color, Arabs/Muslims, as a threat to the stability of those countries. Some states within the union have already legislated against these immigrants, specifying that they wear certain attire in public places, or state owned institutions, and seek to integrate into the mainstream culture in order to be accepted.

Right Wing Fanaticism:

This idea promulgated by the above groups, that Whites/Caucasians are the only ones who are qualified to occupy Europe is gaining momentum. And that all foreigners to the European hemisphere are not welcomed to reside therein, without the expressed permission of the state concerned. Exceptions are those on holiday, diplomats, and other technocrats that are allowed to reside therein. And marriage between Europeans and non-Europeans must not be allowed or permitted.

Historically, these crusaders waged war with any state or region that threatened the crown or the crown's properties. They took their orders from the Pope in the Vatican (primarily), and even defied the Vatican if they felt some issue had to be addressed and dealt with via war, and they were prepared to do so without the Vatican's blessings.

The local Nationalist terrorist Behring Breivik who killed those 78 Norwegian adults and youths, wanted to make the following statements in a very graphic manner.

* He resented the current influx of Muslims and all foreigners into Norway.

* He felt that if this immigration continued unabated, it will dilute Norway's indigenous culture, language, and way of life generally.

* He felt that they were parasites who were bent on coming here to enjoy the benefits that Norwegians had, without having to pay for it. Which would hamper future payments for Norwegians who are legally eligible to receive them.

* Finally, he felt that most of these illegal foreigners (especially Muslims), were not prepared to integrate into the mainstream culture, but wanted Norwegians to accommodate to their culture, language, mode of dress, and lifestyle.

No Empire Lasts Forever-And The Western Powers Or Civilization Is Not Exempt.

I am sick and tired of reading and hearing people talk about the decline of the west, as though it was exempt from such inevitability.

And these same pundits who write so copiously with the accompanying historical references to support their contention, are saying nothing new. Least of all, educating us about what we already know and have read.

The industrialized western powers, which comprise the European Union, Britain, the USA, and Canada, have all enjoyed relative un-affected economic growth for decades. The USA, Britain, and The EU are the states that control and influence how the global economies will behave too.

But with the growth of developing countries like China, Brazil, India, Singapore, Russia, and Vietnam. These western powers are now getting some formidable competition in global trade, and economic influence, which hitherto, they felt was theirs alone.

This is the reality of International Economics, International Finance, and International Trade, making a difference on how we do business, and practice politics currently.

I say, it depends on who the journalist is! Journalists are supposed to report what they see, hear, and are told in the field. And when the situation warrants, give an assessment or evaluation of what they perceive to be the truth or something close to it.

Whenever a journalist is giving his/her opinion on any issue, he/she MUST say so without hesitation. Failing to do so, disregards the principles of true journalism, and the journalist loses credibi

In today's news media reporting, most journalists are expected to sensationalize most of what they report, just to get top ratings or increased readership. This is what their bosses tell them to do, and what is expected. So a lot of speculating, hypothesis,and nuances, play an important role in how journalist report the news on a daily basis.

Is this ever going to change?

I say for those who believe in Fair, Balanced, and Accurate reporting, will ensure that it is maintained, regardless of the pressure to do otherwise.

The Republic Of South Sudan!

Was established officially today at midnight (July 08-2011). It is the 193rd country in the world, and the continent of Africa's 53rd state. Fifteen percent of all adults are illiterate, and most citizens earn one dollar per day. The south has the oil, but the pipelines passes through the north for export.

These two countries now have to decide how the oil revenue from trade will be allocated between them. And the South has to ensure that their share is equitably distributed, among the people's developmental programs. This new state also has to ensure that the internal ethnic strife that has lingered for decades among them find reconciliation soon, because to allow this to continue festering, will hamper any real internal development within this new state, due to the military conflict that will ensue.

With unity and solidarity, this new state can overcome all challenges and obstacles ahead. And the commonweal also has to ensure there is transparency, accountability, and legitimacy in all that their leaders do at the administerial levels.

And to advocate for all the Civil and Human Rights Internationally recognized and observed in the developed hemispheres, like Freedom of The Press, Internet, Freedom to verbally dissent on the streets, homes, press, on the TV and Radio.

US Troops In Afghanistan Is 100 Thousand.

If the president withdraws 10 thousand, or 33 thousand. That is just a drop in the Slaughter House Bucket. Nothing less than at least 90 thousand is reasonable.

Ten thousand is quite enough to support the government afterwards. If we continue to stay in large numbers, the Afghans will NEVER be ready!

It may have been more prudent (to my mind), if the president did not suggest that this man aught to resign publicly. This kind of interference or commentary on issues like this one, does not auger well for his position as president. It is too personal (to say the least). And shows a lack of diplomacy in matters as sensitive as this.

Mr. Weiner is a fellow Democratic and a representative of his constituency. Therefore, I think he knows his responsibility to the people that elected him to office. And if he failed them on any matter deemed by the party or office to be un-ethical, then the party should deal with him according to the rules for membership discipline.

For the president to suggest publicly that a democratic representative resign, when that representative's behavior had nothing to do with the presidency, bothers me dearly.

The Recession In The USA:

Firstly, to my mind the recession still hinges upon the slow resusitation of the housing market. And thousands are still unable to pay their mortgages, and are still loosing their homes.

Secondly, jobs cannot be created, if business is reluctant to hire people.

Those businesses must see some indication in the general economy that would induce them to want to take the risk and invest more.

Thirdly, Germany, unlike the USA is a growing manufacturing power house in Europe. They have been able to come out of the recession, via their manufacturing prowess, ingenuity, and ability to increase the exportation of manufactured goods.

Finally, until America is able to re-invent it's manufacturing industries, we will continue to experiance very slow internal economic growth. Coupled with the cheap imports from China, Malaysia, and Hong Kong, that caters to those with average wages, who can barely afford to buy those essentials.

John Edwards (Democrat), like some many Public Figures seem to lack the kind of judgement that is required in their personal lives.

They seem to disregard any consideration for how they behave in private. Especially if married, or is pursuing Public Office.

Capitalism Is About Making Money:

Therefore, when an entrepreneur indulges in any undertaking, it is to make money. He/she expects to maximize profits with the least overhead costs. He/she employs only those he/she needs to get the job done, and no excess labor is allowed because it will infringe upon his/her profits. The cheaper the labor input, or cost of production or service, the more income will accrue.

Democracy And Capitalism Conflicts:

All businesses are run from top down. In other words, he or she who owns the business have the first and last say as to who gets what, when, and how. Some businesses solicit input from their employees, if they think such solicitation will bring fresh ideas to improve and increase production, and ultimately profits.

Some employers will give some form of incentive to those whom they feel is loyal, is able to provide the time, energy, and labor to make the business profitable, and to ensure that it stays that way.

He or she who indulges in business enterprising may or may not become rich in the process. The ultimate goal of any businessman/woman is to gain wealth, increase his/her income, and subsequently become self-reliant, and totally independent of others for his/her survival.

No Middle Class Is Catered For In A Capitalist System:

The ones who are able to earn enough to save for retirement, send their children to college, buy their own homes, save a little for emergencies, and go on a vacation every once in a while, have attained Middle Class Status.

This position cannot be attained, achieved, or secured, if ordinary folks depend SOLELY upon Private Enterprise for stable, permanent jobs, and employment with benefits. Such as health care, vacation with pay, permanency, liveable wages/salaries, and promotional opportunities, or upward mobility on the job.

The State's Responsibilities:

* The state in any Democracy is to ensure the following:

* Employment is Equal and Fair to all, regardless of ethnicity, demography, religious beliefs, and political affiliation.

* Ensure that the Essential Services for Civil livelihood for all, is under the purview and control of the state by law.

Firstly, when those powers decided to forgive Quadaffi, and bring him into the fold of Free and Democratic states once again. They genuinely felt that he had the potential for reform. After making some concessions with his foreign policy, and paying compensation to the victims of Lockabee and elsewhere, for his former terrorist activities.

Like most humans, politicians also behave like anyone would do for his country and himself. So Col. Quadaffi came on board, was given the accolades that was required, and the resumption of private commercial investments begun.

Then came the expatriation of the former imprisoned and sick terrorist to Libya, after which followed a national celebration as a hero on his arrival therein, that embarrassed the west terribly.

Wasn't This National Heroic Reception Envisaged By The Western Powers?

It seems like they wanted him to be received quietly without any fanfare. But (the Western powers), obviously does not understand the mentality of Arabs, Moslems, or the cultures in the Middle East. So when he got a hero's welcome, this created the platform from which the west would use to get back at their 'two faced' friend and ally, Col. Quadaffi.

Today NATO, especially France and Britain are using all of their military muscle to ensure that the colonel never rise again in Libya!

During the early morning of May 02, at around 1.30 am three US Special Forces Helicopters flew into a compound that was very close to a Pakistani Military Training Facility, and killed Asama Bin Laden, his wife, one son, and a few couriers at a privately owned and secured bungalo there.

This internationally known terrorist, who allegedly had a hand in the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001, was being pursued by the US ever since that attack. Former president George W. Bush assumed that Asama Bin Laden was hiding in some cave on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan.

But this new reality has proven to the world that he had the help, and protection of loyalists in that region, coupled with the apparent knowledge of Pakistan's Central Inteligence too.

For someone of his stature, height, and notoriety, to be residing so very close to a Pakistani Military Academy, in a place that is considered very residential, has proven that the above assumptions are justified.

The Head Of The Snake Is Severed.

But will the snake die, or will it just grow another head? Chances are it will grow another head or spiritual leader very soon. Because El Qaeda has been operating for years without the expressed directions coming directly from Asama Bin Laden.

This organization has the resources, dedicated and committed soldiers on the grond who can operate and execute terrorist acts on their own initiative.

However, there is fear that terrorist activities will arise very soon in retaliation of his death. I say, regardless of this justified fear, terrorists don't need to be motivated by any singular death, for them to exploit any soft target. Terrorists will and have always exploited any opportunity to execute terrorist acts whenever the situation arose.

Crimes Against Humanity In Bahrain!

I have been watching closely on the television and Internet how the Saudi Arabian Military forces were treating the Bahrain people. Those peaceful demonstrators who from the outset, was only calling for political reforms that would allow them to have a say in the Parliament there, via Free And Fair Elections. All of these demonstrations were done Peacefully, until the Internal Security forces started using Tear Gas, and even Firing Live rounds at the demonstrators in The Roundabout Square.

Subsequently followed by the UAE Military Incursion that further cemented these brutal acts against people who merely wanted to indulge their Human Right To Dissent In a Peaceful manner. As I watched these goings on, along with the rest of the International Community, I asked myself this question.

Where is the United Nations when we need them, as innocent people are being killed, maimed, arrested, harassed, and imprisoned, because they chose to freely express themselves openly on the streets of Bahrain?

Mr. President, I am deeply disappointed with you for not standing up against these atrocities, with the assertiveness that is warranted. And I am also deeply disappointed that you have not warned the Saudi's and their UAE acolytes, to stop the killing, and show respect for the sovereignty of the Bahrain people, even if they were invited in.

This type of incursion of any foreign military, by invitation or not, to put down any internal demonstration (peaceful or not), cannot be accepted anywhere. And would be construed by any rational thinking person as an occupation of their land by foreign forces, and a violation of their sovereignty.

Time To Launch A Major Ground Offensive In Libya!

Ever since the US and N.A.T.O.'s Joint Air Offensive against Col. Quadaffi's military installations and other offensive installations against the Libyan people, the situation on the ground has developed into a major pro-Quadaffi and anti-Quadaffi confrontation. This situation has almost made the UN Security Council Resolution 1973, concerning the protection of all civilians a dilemma.

Because once you take up arms against each other, you are no longer categorized as civilians, but as combatants!

The Freeing Of Benghazi:

Now that the city of Benghazi is freed of hostile forces therein, and other cities that were still occupied by pro-Quadaffi forces (mostly armed civilians/combatants). Which is getting to the point where at some point in time, if Col. Quadaffi's forces are not defeated, or does not surrender, or stop attacking each other militarily, or Col. Quadaffi does not arrange for a truce, or resigns his position, or leaves the country, what happens next?

This question is being asked by the Global media, and most journalists and reporters internationally. But it seems like N.A.T.O. or the US refuses to give a definite answer. Which begs the question now.

Are we going to prolong this Civil War indefinitely? Are we (meaning NATO and the Joint Services), going to assist the opposition forces with munitions to oust him militarily?

Are we going to inject some marines on the opposition side to assist them in the process of liberating them from Col. Quadaffi's regime?

Or are we going to allow the situation on the ground to reach a stalemate, wherein no one is a winner or loser, and the Colonel continues to hold on to power, hoping that his opponents give up eventually, thus leading to a mass massacre of all those who opposed him?

Until these questions are answered by the UN, or NATO. This N.F.Z. exercise if bound to fail miserably!

I Am Fed Up Being President (Mubarak):

President Obama is alleged to have suggested that the military triumvirate or (the PM, The VP, and The Defense Minister), take over when Mubarak leaves. And re-write the Constitution. This would happen without civilian input or consent. And is totally un-acceptable (to say the least for this revolution).

However, Pharaoh Mubarak will not leave voluntarily until Barack Obama Says "Enough Is Enough." and instructs the Army there to stage a 'coup-de-etat.' When that is done, the military will declare that they are in charge, because president Mubarak has abdicated.

Who Is In Charge Asks The Western Media?

The Western media! But they fail to realize that not all revolutions confirm to the historical precedent, of a recognized Front Runner at the outset. These young, energetic, resolute, and intelligent Revolutionaries will identify and support the one, they will eventually choose to lead and speak for them.

A Collective Leadership:

Currently, until president Mubarak resigns officially, a group of individuals have chosen to speak for or on behalf of the revolution. When Mubarak leaves office, I presume will emerge some individual who the mass of revolutionaries will appoint to speak for, or advocate for their desires in the Interim Administration, until the National Election preparations are undertaken.

There are fourteen individuals that represent fourteen political groups. And these are the leaders that are involved with all discussions with the Mubarak regime/government currently.

Even though they do not have the authority or mandate from the mass of revolutionaries, who will accept nothing less than president Mubarak's resignation before any talks can begin.

Organizating Abilities:

The organizing ability to deal with such large numbers of people in one place is amazing to many in the west. However, I commend your System Of Warning to fellow revolutionaries when danger approaches in Tahrir Square, from those who oppose you.

So What Happens Next?

This Revolution can only succeed if the military Top Brass relinquish their obligation to the USA, and tell Mubarak he has to go, or be killed if he stays. Then take over the government, ask the opposition forces to meet and form an Interim government, pending Nation Elections.

Don't Leave Tahrir Square:

Hold Tahrir by any cost. The army wants you to leave so that they can have total control of it. Thus giving the Mubarak Regime the ability to prevent you from occupying that National Symbol of Freedom. If you go back home, the Internal Security Forces will round up all the Revolutionary Leadership, and have them tortured secretly.

Mubarak's (N.D.P.) Party Leadership Exodus:

The TOP Leadership in President Mubarak's Political Party have left the Party. They abandoned the ship. Fear of reprisals in the future I guess, is responsible for this sudden exodus!

OUR INTERIM DEMANDS:

All Presidential Powers MUST Be Relinquished By President Mubarak NOW.

The Martial Law MUST Be Lifted Permanently NOW:

President Mubarak has refused to leave office. He promised not to campaign for office at the end of his term in September 2011.

He has replaced officials in his government with his own acolytes, which does not help to regain confidence with the masses who are asking him to leave, along with his administration.

The Pro-Mubarak Elements:

Currently, pro-Mubarak elements or supporters have come on board visibly to show support for him.

They were by and large absent during the revolution. But suddenly they are now here to support the regime.

They probably are funded, by the regime. Coerced by the regime, or funded by Israeli elements bent on subverting the mass revolution taking place right now in Egypt.

Finally, this turning point within the masses bring new challenges for the revolution. Because if or when the two sides clash, the Military and Police will intervene, and there will be lots of lives lost and severe injuries to thousands involved on both sides.

This planned mayhem is what Israel was hoping for and what they are bent on causing in order to subvert the revolution's success.

Egyptian opposition figure Mohamed ElBaradei said on Sunday that President Hosni Mubarak must leave office today to make way for a national unity government.

"It is loud and clear from everybody in Egypt that Mubarak has to leave today," ElBaradei said in an interview aired on CNN. "He needs to leave today, to be followed by a smooth transition (to) a national unity government, followed by all the measures set in place for a free and fair election."

ElBaradei also said U.S. policy in Egypt was "losing credibility."

Secret papers reveal slow death of Middle East peace process• Massive new leak lifts lid on negotiations

The Palestine papers reveal the offer of concessions by Palestinian peace negotiators on areas such as the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount holy sites in Jerusalem. Photograph: Awad Awad/AFP/Getty Images

The biggest leak of confidential documents in the history of the Middle East conflict has revealed that Palestinian negotiators secretly agreed to accept Israel's annexation of all but one of the settlements built illegally in occupied East Jerusalem. This unprecedented proposal was one of a string of concessions that will cause shockwaves among Palestinians and in the wider Arab world.

A cache of thousands of pages of confidential Palestinian records covering more than a decade of negotiations with Israel and the US has been obtained by al-Jazeera TV and shared exclusively with the Guardian. The papers provide an extraordinary and vivid insight into the disintegration of the 20-year peace process, which is now regarded as all but dead.

The documents – many of which will be published by the Guardian over the coming days – also reveal:

• The scale of confidential concessions offered by Palestinian negotiators, including on the highly sensitive issue of the right of return of Palestinian refugees.

• How Israeli leaders privately asked for some Arab citizens to be transferred to a new Palestinian state.

• The intimate level of covert co-operation between Israeli security forces and the Palestinian Authority.

• The central role of British intelligence in drawing up a secret plan to crush Hamas in the Palestinian territories.

• How Palestinian Authority (PA) leaders were privately tipped off about Israel's 2008-9 war in Gaza.

As well as the annexation of all East Jerusalem settlements except Har Homa, the Palestine papers show PLO leaders privately suggested swapping part of the flashpoint East Jerusalem Arab neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah for land elsewhere.

Most controversially, they also proposed a joint committee to take over the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount holy sites in Jerusalem's Old City – the neuralgic issue that helped sink the Camp David talks in 2000 after Yasser Arafat refused to concede sovereignty around the Dome of the Rock and al-Aqsa mosques.

The offers were made in 2008-9, in the wake of George Bush's Annapolis conference, and were privately hailed by the chief Palestinian negotiator, Saeb Erekat, as giving Israel "the biggest Yerushalayim [the Hebrew name for Jerusalem] in history" in order to resolve the world's most intractable conflict. Israeli leaders, backed by the US government, said the offers were inadequate.

Intensive efforts to revive talks by the Obama administration foundered last year over Israel's refusal to extend a 10-month partial freeze on settlement construction. Prospects are now uncertain amid increasing speculation that a negotiated two-state solution to the conflict is no longer attainable – and fears of a new war.

Many of the 1,600 leaked documents – drawn up by PA officials and lawyers working for the British-funded PLO negotiations support unit and include extensive verbatim transcripts of private meetings – have been independently authenticated by the Guardian and corroborated by former participants in the talks and intelligence and diplomatic sources. The Guardian's coverage is supplemented by WikiLeaks cables, emanating from the US consulate in Jerusalem and embassy in Tel Aviv. Israeli officials also kept their own records of the talks, which may differ from the confidential Palestinian accounts.

The concession in May 2008 by Palestinian leaders to allow Israel to annex the settlements in East Jerusalem – including Gilo, a focus of controversy after Israel gave the go-ahead for 1,400 new homes – has never been made public.

All settlements built on territory occupied by Israel in the 1967 war are illegal under international law, but the Jerusalem homes are routinely described, and perceived, by Israel as municipal "neighbourhoods". Israeli governments have consistently sought to annex the largest settlements as part of a peace deal – and came close to doing so at Camp David.

Erekat told Israeli leaders in 2008: "This is the first time in Palestinian-Israeli history in which such a suggestion is officially made." No such concession had been made at Camp David.

But the offer was rejected out of hand by Israel because it did not include a big settlement near the city Ma'ale Adumim as well as Har Homa and several others deeper in the West Bank, including Ariel. "We do not like this suggestion because it does not meet our demands," Israel's then foreign minister, Tzipi Livni, told the Palestinians, "and probably it was not easy for you to think about it, but I really appreciate it".

The overall impression that emerges from the documents, which stretch from 1999 to 2010, is of the weakness and growing desperation of PA leaders as failure to reach agreement or even halt all settlement temporarily undermines their credibility in relation to their Hamas rivals; the papers also reveal the unyielding confidence of Israeli negotiators and the often dismissive attitude of US politicians towards Palestinian representatives.

Last night Erekat said the minutes of the meetings were "a bunch of lies and half truths". Qureia told AP that "many parts of the documents were fabricated, as part of the incitement against the … Palestinian leadership".

However Palestinian former negotiator, Diana Buttu, called on Erekat to resign following the revelations. "Saeb must step down and if he doesn't it will only serve to show just how out of touch and unrepresentative the negotiators are," she said.

Palestinian and Israeli officials both point out that any position in negotiations is subject to the principle that "nothing is agreed until everything is agreed" and therefore is invalid without an overarching deal.

Attempting to influence (A Public Official Or Decision Maker), in favor of a specific opinion or cause.
This in itself is not wrong. What is wrong is when the elected official forgets who he/she represents, and caters to those Lobbyists who can make him/her an offer he/she cannot refuse!

Who Are These Lobbyists?

They are individuals from all walks of life, and organizations. Whose sole purpose is to access their Congressmen or women, in order to push or influence any piece of legislation that they feel promotes, or hinders their organization or individual interests.

Large sums of money are donated to those Congressmen/women's campaign or Political party, in order to get him/her elected. With the intent that if he/she gets elected to Public Office, that lobbyist will be able to access him/her to advocate for a certain issue, or piece of legislation.

The US Supreme Court's Ruling:

Wealthy lobbyists are encouraged by the recent US Supreme Court's decision to allow any organization in the private sector to financially support any political party as they see fit.
Which is an affront and a dis-advantage to ordinany American citizens, who could merely provide a paltry amount, to any campaign or campaigner for public office.

Do You Trust The Media For Information?

Press TV (Iran), asked this question on their program today. So here is my response to it.

There was a time, a long time ago, when the Radio was all we had to listen to, receive information or hear stories being told in some studio locally or globally. With the advent of television, those countries that has access to it, and viewers that could afford it bought it, watched it, and drew their own conclusions. More or less, the viewers believed in most of what was told them via this medium.

However, as time went by, and the debut of the Internet, and Internet access by millions globally. News dissemination, news gathering, and news reporting has changed remarkably. Today with an Internet access, the user could watch some incident as it unfolds, and not have to wait until some reporter of CNN, BBC, or FOX, report it later in the day on the regular news channels.

With cell phone cameras, any individual could shoot a scene or incident as it happens, and upload the video on YouTube.com, for the world to see and comment on, without having to wait for the
traditional media outlet for this information. Which may or may not be shown, and possibly relay a totally different scenario of that situation, that you the civilian onlooker saw and filmed.

However, it is up to the viewer to decide what he/she sees on TV, whether that information is plausible or not, and how much of it will influence his/her opinion on that particular issue. Do not believe everything you see or hear on TV, Radio, or The Internet. Surf several news outlets on the Internet for your new's gathering. It will give you a more varied perspective on the news, and will aid you in arriving at a conclusion, or determining what is plausible or not.

CHILE:

In a state where historically, money and power ruled the roost. And the rich and powerful operated with impunity for decades. This Copiapo obsolete mine should never have been allowed to re-open or operate, after a disaster happened in 2008. This mine, like so many others like it, does not comply with Safety Regulations as prescribed by Legislation.

So when the thirty three miners were trapped after a collapse for over two months, it was no surprise to anyone familiar with the history of mines in this country.

The Miners Were Thought Dead:

After the collapse, no one ever thought that these miners could survive, because there was no escape shaft available for them to escape in case of an emergency. Another one of the inherent disregard for the safety of the miners therein. But their families refused to leave the area until they were found, dead or alive. Which brought the attention of the entire world to their plight.

Rescue Operations:

Rescue operations got under way after weeks of planning, and preparation for the execution of the extraction process for these miners. Which commenced on Tuesday 10-12-2010, with a special contraption or capsule like vehicle, to hoist these miners from the depths of the mine to the surface.

I understand that the Chilean government spearheaded this exercise, coupled with the consultation and expertise of N.AS.A., and several private and government agencies on the best solution to this dilemma.

All Is Well That Ends Well:

The last miner (or #33), was finally extracted on Wednesday 10-13-2010, in reasonably good health, and without any visible physical complications or disabilities.

However, these miners are now left without employment, and possibly no immediate prospects.
I believe that they may be approached as a group or individually to tell their stories for book deals, or movie making deals.

The Chilean government also has to ensure that these men are provided for, at least in the short term, with compensation given to each miner from the Mining Company, for the risk they endured to life and limb.

Or a Class Action Law Suit brought against the company for industrial negligence.

Kim Jung Un is now the leader in waiting, to assume the leadership after his ailing father Kim Jung IL.

This 24 year old adolescence will be advised by his Auntie, who was also made Caretaker General, Personal Advisor, and Guidance Counselor.

His father had a penchant for threatening the West whenever he felt threatened by them militarily, due to personal paranoia. I don't know if his son has inherited this paranoid view of the West or the world at large.

However, young Un is very OBESE, and like his father, may also suffer from diabetes some time in the future.

Will Kim Jung Un Be Reaching Out To The West?

Until his father dies or relinquishes his position as Chairman of the Communist Party, and Leader of the State. Young Kim Jung Un will have to be subservient to his father's demands, policies, biases, and dictates.

Before the US started bombing the hills and byways in Afghanistan, trying to destroy the so-called Terrorist camps, identified as Al Qaeda strongholds. The Northern Alliance, which was an assortment of several ethnic groups opposed to the Taliban Rule in the Southern Part of that country, was at war with the Taliban there.

America used the Northern Alliance, commanded by the leader named Ahmed Shah Massoud, by providing them with munitions to fight the Taliban in the South. And at the same time, to identify the hideouts and El Qaeda strongholds to the American undercover agents on the ground therein, so that they can be killed by US Aircraft and Drones.

This was how the Northern Alliance won the war with the Taliban forces in Afghanistan.

After the Taliban was defeated, the Northern Alliance leader was assassinated, leaving a Leaderless void within that alliance. So America now was faced with a dilemma, of whom to support or choose to lead this victorious endeavor. This situation created it's own political dilemma for the Afghans too. Eventually leading to Hamid Karzai's ascension to the throne/presidency in Kabul-Afghanistan.

So Why Is America & N.A.T.O. Still There?

Fighting terror is the excuse being used by N.A.T.O. & America to justify their occupation therein, and the citizenry RESENT this blatantly. Because of our continued presence there, the killing of thousands of civilians, and the raping of Afghan women by US forces there. This resentment has grown to the point of SEVERE hatred for anything that has to do with America, and any foreigner on their soil.

And they will continue to fight against this occupation of their land by any foreigner or foreign forces, regardless of what they try to do, to influence this situation and resolve by the Afghan people.

That is the bottom line of the US and N.A.T.O. presence and war with the Afghan people!

I say frankly YES. For the following reasons.

* HAMAS said on no uncertain terms that they will never meet face to face with the Israeli representatives, if the Settlement Building does not cease immediately, and permanently.

* HAMAS also feels that they've been down this road before, and Israel have not honored their part of the bargain anytime before. And this is just another charade by Israel to stall the Peace Process.

* FATAH'S Mahmoud Abbas hands are tied to the Arab-European & US donors to his authority. He may want to take a hard stand with Israel on all or most of these outstanding and unsolved issues, but he realizes that The West Bank Authority and survival depends on Western Financial Support.

So he has to appear to his people to be strong on the issues, until he is forced to back off when it fails to materialize.

Just like this current effort will be dashed with the resumption of settlement building on Palestinian lands.

5 U.S. Soldiers Charged In Afghan Civilians' Deaths
by NPR Staff and Wires

The five US soldiers are: Andrew Holmes, Michael Wagnon, Jeremy Morlock and Adam Winfield.

Five Stryker Brigade soldiers from Joint Base Lewis-McChord killed three civilians in separate shootings in Afghanistan's Kandahar province earlier this year, according to charging documents released by the Army.

The Army says all three victims were shot, and two of them were hit by thrown grenades. Two of the soldiers also are accused of assault, and another is charged with seeking to destroy evidence.

In all, five soldiers have been charged with premeditated murder in the killings. All are assigned to B Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division.

The Army did not say what motives might have been involved.

The brigade, which made its first deployment to Afghanistan in July, has seen heavy fighting against Taliban insurgents and suffered 33 combat deaths. Two other soldiers have died of illness and another in a vehicular accident.

The three civilians killed near the Army's Forward Operating Base Ramrod in southern Afghanistan are identified as Gul Mudin, who died sometime in January; Marach Agha, killed on or about Feb. 22; and Mullah Adahdad, killed on or around May 2.

Officials at Lewis-McChord said Pvt. 1st Class Andrew Holmes, 19, of Boise, Idaho, Spc. Michael Wagnon II, 29, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Spc. Adam Winfield, 21, of Cape Coral, Fla., were charged Tuesday with one count each of premeditated murder.

Staff Sgt. Calvin Gibbs, 25, of Billings, Mont., and Spc. Jeremy Morlock, 22, of Wasilla, Alaska, each were charged earlier this month with three counts of premeditated murder and one count of assault.

The charging sheets released Wednesday, with the names of the accusers and officers involved blanked out, say Morlock and Gibbs shot Agha and used fragmentary grenades and their rifles to kill Mudin and Adahdad.

Holmes is accused of throwing a grenade at and shooting Mudin, Winfield of doing the same to Adahdad, and Wagnon of shooting Agha.

The documents also allege that Morlock hit and kicked a person on May 5 and spat in a victim's face. Gibbs also is accused of hitting and kicking a person on that date. All identifying information is redacted, including names, gender, whether one or more victims were involved and whether they are civilians.

Wagnon is further accused of impeding a criminal investigation by asking another soldier to erase a computer hard drive that contained evidence of the crimes.

Spokeswoman Lt. Col. Tamara Parker said Gibbs was charged June 8 in Kuwait and is in transit to Lewis-McChord, a joint Army-Air Force base south of Tacoma. Morlock was charged June 4. He and the other three soldiers are being confined at the base, as Gibbs will be when he arrives. Parker said if the charges lead to courts-martial, the trials will likely be held there.

The next step for the soldiers will be Article 32 hearings, similar to a grand jury. Officers to lead those proceedings have not yet been appointed, and no dates for the hearings have been set, Parker said.

It could not be immediately determined whether defense lawyers have been appointed for all five men.

Eugene Fidell, who teaches military law at Yale, said it's too early to speculate what the defense might argue.

"In the past in cases arising out of combat environments, we've heard the 'fog of war' so-called defense — it's not really a defense at all. We've heard about stress," Fidell said.

The maximum penalty for a premeditated murder conviction is life in prison or the death penalty. Lewis-McChord spokesman Joseph Piek said decisions on whether to seek the death penalty normally are made after an Article 32 hearing.

Is Fidel Castro Still Relevant?

Ever since the overthrow of the Batista military dictatorship in Cuba, by Fidel Castro, Che Guvera and the Socialists, Cuba has come a long way.

The Bay Of Pigs fiasco which was organized and executed by CIA conscripts failed miserably. Then came the Cuban Missile Crisis, spurred by some Russian long range missiles which were setup on Cuban soil, and was seen by the US as a serious threat to it's immediate territory.

So president J. F. Kennedy urged Russia to dismantle and remove them from Cuban soil.

The stand off took some days to bear fruit, causing global concern and fear of a Nuclear Conflict between the USA and The then Soviet Union.

However, that was never to be, and the missiles were withdrawn, followed by a stringent boycott of all trade, travel, and movement of US citizens and Cuban nationals, based in the USA from visiting Cuba.

President Barack Obama's Rise To Power:

With the advent of president Barack Obama to the White House, some changes were implemented to allow Cuban nationals here to visit their relatives in Cuba. Money transfers to Cuba by relatives were also allowed.

Some may call these changes meagre, but they heralded a shift in Foreign Policy with Cuba anyway!

Is Fidel Castro Still relevant?

When Raul Castro (Fidel's brother), was allowed to assume the Prime Ministership of Cuba by Fidel, some hoped that some change in National and Foreign Policy was imminent. However, very few alterations were made in both areas, and business as usual seem to be the case.

Fidel Castro, the Revolutionary and Spiritual Leader of the Cuban people, in recent years seem to be aging rapidly, visibly ill and frail. But has regained his composure, and appears on Public Television as often as he can, to read his personal views on International Affairs to the Cuban people.

Is Cuba Ready To Make The Leap To A Free Market Economy?

Fidel Castro said recently that it was a Political Mistake to have introduced Socialism as the vanguard for National Development and Self Determination. (or words to that effect). This came as a surprise to the Global community, because he is the first Socialist leader who has publicly acknowledged that reality. Will this realization make room for the introduction of Private Enterprise (foreign and domestic), to develop? I hope so!

But however it is perceived and implemented, I presume that it will be very gradual, monitored by the Communist Party in power, and highly regulated too.

Definition: The American Dream is a CONCEPT that hinges upon the following values!

* A land of opportunity for all.

* A country where there is liberty, freedom of verbal expression, written, personal, and social dissent that is protected under the constitution.

* A place where families can grow, prosper, send their offspring to college, and provide some financial security for retirement.

* And finally, a country where there is no barrier against personal religion, beliefs, sexual orientation, home ownership, employment equality, political affiliation, or ethnicity.

These are the CORE values and Beliefs that make up the American Dream.

This Dream Was Intended For Whites Only:

Yes, when this so-called dream was envisaged, it was the poor Whites who never had any land of their own, many were sharecroppers, illiterate, and down on their luck. So they felt that if they acquired some land to till and subsequently own. Then they will have something to call their own, and possibly hand down to their children.

Most realized after obtaining these lands that it was labor intensive, so having several children to help on the farm was absolutely vital for success. And this ultimately prevented their children from having a good Primary or Secondary education, because of the need for their help on these farms.

Industrialization & Mass Production:

When the USA became a major player in the manufacturing industries, it helped to propel many into the Middle Class. Because the wages earned therein, helped them save money for their children's college education, and holiday vacations.

And most industries were Unionized. So this too gave the workers bargaining rights/power to fight and win the necessary industrial regulations needed for safety on the job, Worker's Compensation for Injury on the job, and Health Care Benefits too.

Immigrants Also Aspired To This Dream:

The Statue Of Liberty was constructed to sell or represent symbolically the American Dream, which was sold to all those who wanted to come to America to start a new and productive life. The fallacy of finding work easily, getting your own apartment in the Big Cities, and being able to save for A Rainy Day, was the modus operandi that lured immigrants to this country.

Much to their dis-appointment as the true reality hit most of them when they eventually got here.

The Middle Class Is Almost Non-existent:

Today, with the recent Global Economic Crisis the American Middle Class, House Owners, and Mortgage recipients are in crisis. Most have lost their homes, some are on the verge of loosing theirs, and the Banks refuse to lend to anyone who is unable to pay EXORBITANT interests on any loan sought.

Big City Life Is The Reality In Most Developed Countries:

Most people reside in cities today, and most will continue to do so for the following reasons.

* It has most of the infrastructure that provides for easy travel, housing accommodation/rentals, grocery stores, shopping malls/stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and recreational facilities.

* Finding work that is suitable, or making a career of is also vitally necessary to most job seekers.

The suburbs do not offer most of these necessities. And owning a home in the suburbs can be very expensive too. Taxes, traveling expenses to and from work or pleasure, and raising a family therein is what most people who reside there prefer.

This man has the gaul to consider running for the presidency of his country Haiti. At a time when serious contenders, many of whom have some political experience in this regard, that overshadows Wyclef's past experiences.

However, when you consider what Haiti has gone through politically and economically, at home and abroad. It does not surprise me that this young, fresh, in-experienced, and somewhat nieve brother thinks that he can make a difference in the way Haiti is governed in the future.

The challenges ahead are humongous for any serious candidate to consider, much less overcome. The state is in total bankruptcy, the internal infrastructure is almost non-existent, and the national coffers is empty to say the least.

Will he get the total support from all walks of life in Haiti to win the national election for the presidency? I think not at this time! But I admire his gaul and tenacity, for even considering the possibility of success in this venture.

Everyday I see on televsion the enormous profits that Wall Street Brokers and The Banking Institutions are making, at an alarming rate. And I ask myself, when will some of this bounty reach the desperately impoverished working masses? Many of whom are still un-employed, most are unable to find any work, (temporary or otherwise), and does not see any changes for the better anytime soon either.

The politicians in Washington DC are daily enacting legislation (supposedly), to inhibit the reckless behavior of Wall Street Investors and Bankers, from indulging in behavior that hitherto brought the US and the Global Economy almost to a standstill. And at the same time the current administration in The White House, promise better days ahead. Even though the reality on the ground everywhere says that businesses are reluctant to re-hire anyone, reasons being fear, uncertainty, and other fabricated excuses.

Who Will Bell The Cat?

In this self-centered and Capitalist society, where the ingrained belief that the government has no business to tell any person, or business how to manage it's affairs. Some Americans are even bitterly against any legislation that is perceived to infringe on the behavior of any business, regardless of whether that business is behaving in ways that infringes on worker's rights.

The Trade Union's Are At Fault Too:

Many Trade Union Organizations are also part and parcel of the demise of their workers, because they have been playing politics with the politicians, in order to gain favor. At the expense of the same workers they are mandated to serve.

Some Trade Unions subscribe to certain politicians. Others support both political parties, in an attempt to gain political favors. Workers are being tricked by their own representatives in Public Office, and by their Collective Bargaining Agent too.

So where can the working masses turn to for help at this time?

I presume that the only recourse is to seek the assistance of the state. But that leads inevitably to dependence on The State. And such dependence brings with it, it's own penalties. Such as Benefit Cuts, Governmental Intrusion, Second Class Citizenship, and other social stigma. Meanwhile, the economic tragedy continnues unabted, with promises from our elected representatives of 'Better Days Ahead.'

So While The Grass Grows-The Horse Starves!

The Facts About Somalia Today!

Hitherto the current political administration, Somalia was overran by Al Shabaab or (the Youth), that purports for a political administration administered by Sharia Law. The current administration's president was also part of this initial political front, but shortly thereafter, internal divisions resulted in a split between the current administration of moderate Muslims, and the faction that rigidly purports Sharia law as the preferred method of rule.

This split resulted in insurrectionist activities against the current administration, which indulges in the abduction of youths for it's Military/Jihad against the government. While all of this was happening, bombs were being exploded all over the city and outlying areas, in an attempt to bring the official government to it's knees. With mass killing of Somalis who supported the government in office.

However, in time, the Al Shabaab youth insurrectionists were able to take control of the vast majority of Somalia, leaving only about four to six square blocks of territtory under the control of the government.

Foreign Military Assistance:

The Somali government was unable to defend itself adequately, due to much more sophisticated weaponry used by the Al Shab insurrectionists. So they asked their neighbors Ethopia and Uganda to assist them in repelling the Al Shabaab insurrectionists.

Millions of Somalis have fled the country, thousands are encamped in areas in squalor, without food, medical assistance, or protection for their lives and livelihood either.

Kidnapping And Piracy:

Out of this mix and despair some chose to indulge in Abductions or kidnappings for ransom or money. Others indulged in Piracy at sea, to enrich themselves. Some elements or Rogue Former military and Maritime personnel are also involved in piracy and kidnappings too.

It seems like El Qaeda was able to influence some elememnts within the Al Shabaab movement, getting them to infiltrate Uganda, resulting in a recent terrorist bombing of fans, as the F.I.F.A. World Cup-2010, was being viewed on screen at a stadium.

I Will Not Support Barack Obama Or The Democratic Party Any Longer!

I was on board the Barack Obama campaign from it's inception. I followed the primaries throughout, advocating for his victory until he was nominated party candidate for the presidency. After which I continued to support and advocate for his election victory until the end was realized.

I believed that he was a genuine man, even though he sometimes puzzled me with his verbal nuances and matter of fact answers to certain questions. I also felt that he would truly represent TRUE CHANGE in Washington-DC, despite the obstacles within and without his democratic party.

But he has failed miserably to Stand Up and Assert himself as president of this republic when the time was absolutely necessary for him to do so. And I will outline some of these missed opportunities or willful neglect to act credibly.

* Barack Obama promised to revamp the Internet Snooping Regulations that G. W. Bush used and amended to spy on, and apprehend anyone they felt was a national threat or suspect terrorist, This preemptive mentality is still being used by Barack Obama's administration.

* Barack Obama promised to bring the troops home from Iraq, this was eventually altered somewhat, with a promise to bring some or most combat troops home by 2011. But current evidence, coupled with a humongous Embassy built for the Americans in the heart of Baghdad, makes that promise ludicrous.

* Barack Obama increased the combat troops strength by several thousands, hoping to cripple the Taliban elements, while propping up a corrupt President and regime in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, thousands more US, NATO and Afghan troops and civilians are being killed on a daily basis.

* The Don't Ask-Don't Tell Law is still not yet repealed, even with his promise to let the Pentagon and the military Top Brass have their say and recommendations. Even though the House & Senate currently are unanimous for the repeal of it.

* Barack Obama and the US House & Senate all supported Israel's incursion and massacre of hundreds of civilians in Gaza recently. They even refused to acknowledge any UN sanctions on Israel after the Goldstone report was made public. And the White phosphorous that was mostly used to injure and maim civilians was quite evident and proven factual on the ground in Gaza, by medical personnel and observers therein.

* The Immigration reform promise is still to be addressed. Even though some hurried and politically expedient proposals were presented by some democrats in New York State, for some changes to be made. But this is not the Comprehensive approach to immigration reform we were expecting to happen. So this too seem to be a pipe dream for most supporters of Immigration Reform currently.

* Barack Obama is not respected by the Israeli administration currently. And he operates as though he is taking orders from prime minister Nethanyahu. Barack Obama's also dismisses the plight of Gazans, just because the political administration on that strip of land is deemed to be terrorists by his administration, and past presidents.

When in fact, Israel has over one million Palestinians in Gaza under military seize, destroyed the pure drinking water factory, prevent food of nutritional value to be brought into Gaza, or any cement, steel, and building materials from being brought in.

So most Gazans are living in make shift Tents, make shift homes, with no proper schools, housing, mass unemployment, unwholesome food and nutrition, and prohibited form travelling within and without Gaza.

While the US, and most of the Arab world leadership, pretends to care or speak for them.

And the list goes on without any end in sight!

Here are a few concepts of mine:

* Producing food without pesticides, fungicides, or other alloys to enhance the natural growth of the produce.

* Not using or polluting the atmosphere with any substance, fuel, or spray.

* Not buying any product that uses chemicals that are pollutants of the air, the eyes, the nostrils, the seas, ponds, waterways, oceans, or forests.

* Using solar panels of the roof of new or refurbished homes, apartment buildings, office buildings, or any structure that can accommodate solar panels.

Which will save energy that would have used coal, or mineral fuels hitherto used as fuel energy.

* Buying vehicles that use solar panels, bio-fuels, or other green fuels being produced globally currently.

And ensuring that continued experiments are being made to promote this concept.

* And using LED's solar efficient light bulbs (if or when affordable), to light homes, offices, apartments, and for decorative use too.

Is The UK's Third Political Party Ready To Govern?

With the three political debates completed, the British people will have to make up their minds about the following realities.

* Are we ready to accommodate a third political party at the helm in government?

* Is the Liberal Democrats ready to govern, especially in this time of Global economic crisis?

* Could a coalition between Labour and The Liberal Democratic Party, if it becomes a reality, be able to govern realistically?

* Could the Conservatives bring about the necessary changes that would bring the UK out of this economic and immigration crisis?

These are just a few of the concerns that most Britons are grappling with at this time. And I am sure it would not be easy to make a final decision on whom to choose next week at the polls.

A Constitutional Amendment May Be Necessary:

If we are going to consider a third political party in governance. It would be prudent to have a Constitutional amendment to accommodate this new reality. Because the proportional representation method that traditionally was used to decide the winner, could not be used realistically, to cater for another political party vying for electoral office, under the present system.

Would the First Pass The Post method better serve our electoral needs at this time or in the future?

HAITI'S DEMISE:

Started when they had to pay France for their freedom. Then the USA, and her Greedy Capitalists used their money, political clout, and influence to cripple any government that did not serve their interests. Today, Haitians are back to Square One!

Haiti after the earthquake is like a huge cemetery or a large region after an Atomic bomb exploded. That is how devastated it is.

Therefore, in order for this nation to ever get back on it's feet, these things MUST be put back in place.

*. Establishing liveable homes for most of the townships and people therein.

* Having schools repaired or rebuilt to accommodate Kindergarten and Primary School attendees.

* Establishing a Haitian Authority to oversee, along with the USA and the UN, the overall governance and rebuilding efforts.

* To re-establish all Radio, Television, Internet, and Police radio communications nationally.

* Repairing all roads damaged, and building nonexistent roads within and without the cities.

* Ensuring the an able Police Force or Presence is Established, to ensure Local and National Security concerns, and maintaining Law & Order in the cities.

* Re-establishing Garbage Collection services, Garbage Disposal services, Sewer services, Pure Water lines and Services, Electricity for all residents in the major cities and townships, especially where large volumes of people are located.

* Street lighting MUST be re-established. Because without this facility, Bandits can operate at night, without being seen or apprehended.

* All re-construction work MUST be done by, or sub-subsidized with Haitian labor, (when available).

Decentralization Of The Local Economy:

Haitians are a very resourceful people. Their history has shown that despite repaying an exorbitant debt to France, hurricanes, economic strangulation, coups, and now the recent earthquake.

Haitians are using their mental resources to survive via the street side food carts/stalls, pedaling essential items, and providing basic essential services like Cell Phone recharging, Petrol selling, Garbage disposal, and Junk selling, in order to survive on a daily basis.

The Small Businesses Are The Only Hope For Haiti.

* Giving Small Business loans to start or re-start their business, will provide employment, which will bring much needed money in the hands of consumers, who purchase their needs. thus making the economy grow.

* Decentralization will allow foreign investors to explore, and develop the industries that will provide much needed employment for locals.

* Developing the Rice Industry, by lending those farmers who show resilience to continue in that regard, and provide the means and help for their development, distribution, and sale of the rice to the national economy. Thus discontinuing the dependence upon foreign food aid/rice, which inhibits the sale of local rice on the market.

* Finally, without a national government that the commonweal Believes In, Trusts, or Elects. All of the above will come to naught.

And the usual governmental Corruption, Bribery, Nepotism, and Oppression will continue!

HAITIANS: You have come a long way. But you are here now. Pick Yourself Up, Dust Yourself Off, & Keep Moving Forward, Because that is what you MUST do!

Could America's Two Party Political System Be Changed?

There is some concern, especially currently about the possibility of a third Political Party or Independent Candidate getting elected to The White House in the near future. This to mind stems form the recent polls taken that show a growing and disgruntled populace against the current political administration in Washington-DC, (both parties), and the loss of three states that the Democrats had won in the general election of 2008.

Ralph Nader, and Ron Paul are two individuals who have been trying to get mass support, but have never been able to garner that support, to allow them a majority for the presidency. And it seems like they are using the current political and economic climate to push for a third Independent candidate to challenge the Democrats and the Republicans, at the next general election.

Barack Obama Has Failed To Deliver On His Promises:

* Barack Obama said during his campaign for the presidency, that he will close Gyantanamo Bay prison. This has not yet been done, and it may not happen in his first term either.

* Barack Obama promised to end The Don't Ask-Don't Tell Law. This is still being debated, and may not happen in his first term either.

* Barack Obama promised to Bring Home our troops from Iraq & Afghanistan. They are still in Iraq, and the war goes on in Afghanistan, with more troops added too.

* Barack Obama promised to revamp the spying on Americans via telephone wiretapping, the Internet, and other traditional modes of mass communication. This has not be revamped either. In fact, it was enhanced.

* Barack Obama has allowed Cuban Americans with relatives in Cuba to send money there, and to travel. But ONLY Cuban Americans can do so. And the ban or American travel there is still in place.

Barack Obama's Dilemma Currently.

Barack Obama inherited trillions of US dollars in deficit, failing Banks and Insurance companies that threatened to bring down the national economy. So they had to get financial assistance from the state, to save them and the national economy from total collapse.

But the mass of working class people became un-employed, loss their savings, homes and mortgages. While the rescued bankers still got their wish, paid back the bonuses, and has recovered from near bankruptcy. Even Wall Street Investors are now sailing in growing profits, and secured investments (thanks to the rescue package), while most Americans can hardly eat or pay the rent.

Unemployment is growing, and the current un-employment figure is 9.5%, (more or less).

So What Could Ralph Nader Or Ron Paul Do To Make It Better?

Both of these men are also part of the political system and problem. Both are politicians who do not have any mandate or proposals that would allow Americans to give them the chance to govern in Washington-DC. And even if one of them got elected to the presidency, the House and Senate may not have their majority support or representatives, that would allow them to make the necessary changes that one could believe in either.

Plus the Military and Business lobbyists still have the money and political clout to buy or influence individual candidates for elective office, or to support any candidate that caters to their needs and concerns.

So the traditional entrenched mindset, financial support and influence of Big Business, and the Military Contractor's Lobbyists are still powerful for any elected president or Congress to circumvent, or prevent from influencing decision making in Congress or the Senate.

Will Barack Obama Get Re-elected?

The current political and economic climate indicates that the Democratic Party may lose any general election if it was held right now. Because most Americans see no immediate financial help coming their way, to want to go out and vote again for the Democrats. And with current un-employment levels as they are, may be the reason why the Democrats may not be in the majority anymore, at the next general election.

Turkey's Constitution provides for the Separation Of Powers. That is The Parliament, The Judiciary, and the Military institutions.

Historically, the military have intervened when they felt that the Secular aspect that the Constitution Caters to was under threat by the political administration in power.

Today, there are TWO segments in the general commonweal that are seeking prominence. And they are those who want a more religious or Conservative approach to governance, and those that feel the Secular aspect is under threat.

These two camps are basically how the general population is divided.

Neutralization Of The Armed Forces:

It seems like the political administration is trying to neutralize any perceived threat coming from within the military. I also believe that if such threats are neutralized, the platform for the dictatorship over the proletariat by the ruling political elite can be solidified.

This divide has many smaller segments that also contribute to the confusion, and lack of clarity in this national political dilemma.

The Helman Province Assault In Afghanistan!

The US & Afghan military will be assaulting this province shortly. Some days ago, leaflets were dropped in that province telling the citizenry to evacuate before the upcoming assault. But hitherto in Iraq and in some areas in Afghanistan, this very tactic was used, and the Taliban dug in, threatened the civilians that wanted to leave with death, while they mined the buildings, roads, and other terrain, in preparation.

But the US military are saying the reason why they forewarned the civilians was to prevent un-necessary casualties during the assault.

However, this to my mind is wishful thinking on their part. Because in that particular region, the Taliban was entrenched for a very long time. And had the time to coerce, threaten, and make the lives of anyone who oppose them disappear, or made miserable.

So I cannot see very many civilians being allowed to leave voluntarily under these circumstances.

And the Taliban will not sit still and allow the people to go, leaving them exposed and without the precious human shields they are so dependent upon for cover in battle.

When the local TV, Radio, and Other media outlets are not being Fair and Balanced in their reporting of the facts. Then all viewers must refrain from listening to them, or watching these outlets spew filth, lies, propaganda, and political bias, as an excuse for Fair News Reporting.

The Iraq Incursion:

When George W. Bush and Tony Blair colluded to sell the untruths of Saddam's so-called Weapons of Mass Destruction. Knowing fully well from the Intelligence collected at the time, that there was no SOLID evidence to support that claim. And yet they told their commonweal that Armageddon was imminent from Saddam's region.

The local media took this information, did no research on their own as they should have, and begun to sell the idea that the War mongering politicians in The White House and Number-10 Downing Street was espousing. Even after the invasion and overthrow was accomplished, and no WMD's were found, these two leaders are still saying that they would have done the same thing, with the information they had at the time.

The Commission Of Enquiry In Britain:

This commission was set up to enquire from the parties involved in the planning, preparation, and selling of that war. Tony Blair's fellow cronies are all basically saying, that they were misled into believing that Saddam truly had WMD's in his possession, and was capable of using them at anytime.

Except for Tony Blair who still contends that they (The US & Britain), did the right thing to invade and overthrow that regime of Evil. Disregarding the thousands of civilians that died, the hundreds of UK and US military personnel that died, were maimed, and will never be able to live a normal life ever, when they return to civilian life again.

Could An Inquest Be Held Against George W. Bush & His Administration?

This does not seem possible in the USA. This so-called democracy has yet to hold their political leadership accountable for anything wrong that they did, much less allow them to Face The Fire in a Public Enquiry.

And the current Obama administration does not want to pursue that end either. So we can expect some time in the future, the same circumstance that drove us into another foreign war, to recur!

Firstly, the national identity of any culture or state depends on the following;

* The national flag that represents or identifies that sovereign state.

* The natives that are born therein, and feels mentally, psychologically, and socially connected to that culture or state.

* Being willing and able to speak, read, and write the native language, or the language that the National Constitution is written in.

* Being proud to be identified as a native of that culture, and would submit himself/herself, if called upon by that state, to represent it in times of war or from external aggression.

* Being engaged in the national politics, and political discourses, in your homes, schools (for informational purposes), in your Churches, Masjids, and Mosques, too.

* Voting in all local, regional, and general elections whenever it becomes possible.

* And advocating for the respect, regard, and espousal for the Freedom To Express and Exercise our Human Rights to Dissent, Express or opinions FREELY via The Internet, The Press, The Public Media, and Verbally.

* And finally, to ensure that The Rule Of Law, is Respected and Adhered to, under the Constitution for all Guyanese, regardless of political beliefs, affiliations, religious beliefs or affiliations, and ethnic persuasion too.

Could Hamid Karzai Reconcile With The Taliban?

Ever since the US bombed the El Qaeda camps in Afghanistan, and supported the Northern Alliance Mujadeen army, which eventually defeated or chased out the Taliban government in the Southern Regions of that country. Things have gone from bad
to worse politically, economically, regionally, and militarily for that country.

Governor General Hamid Karzai, was the result of the US influence and involvement in that country's current political climate and reality. This man's notoriety for corruption, is well known. And large segments of the population does not believe that he could mange that country effectively, or bring about national security either. And most would also like the US & NATO troops to permanently leave that country.

But they face a political and economic dilemma, mostly caused by the incursions of US and NATO troops therein, and are wary of the daily loss of citizen's lives in the hundreds. Most of which is caused from US and NATO Air strikes, coupled with radical Taliban suicide bombers on a daily basis.

Hamid Karzai Wants Taliban Inclusion:

The Taliban ruled this country with a strong hand according to their concept of SHARIA law. Women were brutally beaten, killed, acid thrown in their faces, and prevented from getting an education. When the Taliban government was overthrown, women were able to get some political and educational opportunities for self development and self-reliance, hitherto unheard of.

If the Taliban or some elements of that Pasthun clan is co-opted into the government. Chances are, they will not allow themselves to play second fiddle to Hamid Karzai's directives of policies indefinitely. These people experienced governance before, and will strive clandestinely to regain that power once again. Furthermore, it is the view of most Taliban elements, both radical and moderate, that all foreigners MUST be eradicated from their midst. Most Afghans also share this view too.

But their hands are tied currently with certain realities.

National Insecurity & Economic Depression:

This country's population are by and large illiterate. Most of these people live in the rural or agrarian regions. Poverty is rife in most regions, education and educational opportunities for most Afghan children is non-existent to say the least.

Historically, this country was ruled by Ethnic Clan Chiefs or Strong Men. These warlords hold sway in their respective domains. Whatever the Strongman says is believed, respected, and followed. Failing to do so, results in beatings or even death.

There was never in Afghanistan any strong Centralized Government, and the concept of Democracy is very foreign to these people. And most cannot conceptualize what it is, or how exactly to apply it, or make it applicable to the Afghan reality.

How the Hell does he know that for sure? They conned the American people into believing the world was coming to and end for the Global Financial Economy.

And we had to give them billions to keep them afloat. Because some of these Behemoths were Too Big To Fail.

Then after receiving Billions of US Tax Payer dollars, they resumed the same practices that got them into debt once again. They resumed paying Large Bonuses, claiming they had to honor contracts.

Honor Contracts My Butt!

The greed and in-sensitivity these vultures have for the Accumulation Of Large sums of money to enrich themselves, is beyond comprehension.

Now Timothy Geitner and his Treasury cronies all deny ever knowing that the State bought TOXIC assets that worth pennies, with billions, in order to hide the true reality and cost of those Toxic Assets.

CONCLUSION:

I have said before that president Obama chose to align himself with individuals who were part and parcel of Wall Street & the Banking Institutional Rackets. These people are mentally and psychologically well entrenched in this business of Reckless Risk Taking and Speculative Investments.

They have experienced the wealth that it brought them. And will continue to take these chances whenever the situation arises for them to make another Financial Killing.

That is the nature of these vultures. They are the problem!

Your government and people have experienced unfair trade relations, agreements, and subsidies that impoverished your Rice Farmers, and people. Thus leading to a migration to the cities into greater poverty. And within these cities, these same former rice farmers could not afford to purchase Rice, that was brought in via U.S.A.I.D. as help.

And was being sold on the streets to Haitians. This illegal practice was one of the reasons of dependency and poverty, through so-called foreign assistance and help.

You political leaders and ruling elite also aligned themselves with foreign business interests, in order to enrich themselves, maintain their political elitism, and deliberately stifle or prevent any effort for real reform of your economy. The traditional ruling family clans will never change.

It is not in their interest to do so, and will continue to use whatever means necessary or as they see fitting to destroy, kill, or ensure that no national economic reforms for the poor ever get traction, or become a reality in Haiti.

What Is The Solution Going Forward:

* Seek out Haitian leaders/individuals that desire real socio-economic and political change for ALL Haitians.

* Ensure that a National Policy is created and circulated to all communities within the society at large.

* Ensure that whomever decide to create a Political Party or Coalition (preferred), will ensure that all communities are represented therein.

* Your history have always had strong ties to religious leaders or representatives. But not all so-called religious leaders have your interest at heart. Most of them are just as self-centered in their quest, as those who are secular.

* So be careful when you choose religious representatives for leaders, without also ensuring that they are constantly monitored. And removed immediately if or when found guilty of self aggrandizement, and corruption.

Foreign Trade & Assistance:

Foreign trading between nations must never be one based on coercion, threats, regional manipulation, or fear. The USA and France have a history of all the above, when dealing with their departments or former colonies/allies.

The USAID is just another department that uses aid to clandestinely push the USA Political and Trade agenda abroad. And when you take or receive assistance from any country, STRINGS are most certainly attached to it.

And if you do not ensure from the outset, what is expected from you when you receive any financial assistance. You may be conned into debt, that takes generations to repay once more.

Conclusion:

Haiti needs all the help it can get to rebuild the country, repair it's education, health care, municipal, and social structures. Many will offer help in many forms, but will also want to dictate How, When, and Where this help aught to be given.

This MUST never be tolerated by you Haitians!

Your representatives MUST be the ones to DECIDE how and where this help is targeted or placed.

And to the Haitian people in general. Now is the time to start looking for A New and Fresh Group of political representatives, as you go forward in the rebuilding efforts.

Free & Fair Democratic elections MUST be done very soon, to ensure that in the Rebuilt Haiti, a truly New and Fresh Start can be assured.

Firstly, any such arrangement is not within the purview of the US or NATO. That is for Governor General Hamid Karzai's government to contemplate.

The Taliban is indigenous to Afghanistan and Pakistan, and both countries have to work in tandem, to find solutions to this common problem and concern.

However, if the US and NATO forces continue to occupy Afghanistan, they will inevitably have to fight the Taliban elements that are opposed to the occupation. And until this occupation ceases, there will always be Taliban sympathy and support against foreigners.

I watched a discussion on france.com today, about this concern. So here are a few comments of mine in this regard.

When the earthquake disaster hit Haiti, immediately afterwards, those with had access to mobile phones, and the Internet sent photos and messages to relatives and friends outside Haiti. But this was shortlived, and a communication blackout resulted, because of land line's disruptions, and the destruction of other local media outlets.

So Haitians living in the USA & Europe that had access to the Internet, used this facility to continue asking questions, and sharing whatever information they were able to get from Haiti and elsewhere with each other. And this kept the conversation going. And it also helped in raising funds for some charities they felt could be of assistance therein.

Was Twitter & Facebook Really Important?

Yes and No. If you do not have an Internet connection, and is not connected to Facebook, Twitter or MySpace, and have not joined any of these networks. Chances are, you will not be as informed, as those who are already a part of the networking sites.

But it is unfair to say that these networking sites did not make a difference. Because not many people in Haiti, are connected online, or have a computer, an Internet connection, or was able to use it during the Earthquake disaster.

However, the traditional TV and Radio media, is dependable for credible information in most cases. But even these medium are also subject to blackouts, and power failures in any disaster where electricity is needed, in order to have telephone and Internet access.

President Barack Obama said in an address to the nation of Haiti, The World, and the American people, the following:

You Will Not Be Forsaken. The USA & the World Is With You All The Way.

USA & World Assistance Arrives:

The USA military Navy, Marine Corps, Civilian Organizations, Medical personnel, and others are arriving en mass at this time at the Haitian airport and seaport. Vast amount of medical supplies, medical personnel (doctors nurses, medics), ad other related personnel are also included.

Food Packages, Water, Rescuing Machinery and other related equipment, Security personnel, Telecommunications personnel to help reinstall electricity and other technologies needed for international communications are also on board.

Rescuing the Trapped & Injured:

This is going to be a methodical and massive task. Because most of the trapped are under heavy layers of concrete and other rubble. And can only be reached (mostly) with heavy moving machinery, which is also under way. The roads throughout the city of Port Au France is almost impassable in most places. And it is in the cities where the bulk of the affected population is settled, and needs the most urgent attention and assistance.

Burying The Dead:

I don't know if or when burials can seriously take place in this national confusion and some chaos. But i presume that the normal claim of bodies by relatives are non-existent, because both categories may be difficult to identify, and even find.

So Mass Graves or Cremation may be the way to go, in order to alleviate the stench from the already decaying carcass laying in the open spaces on the streets. And those that are dead, and are trapped under the rubble in large numbers.

Distributing Food-Shelter-Clothing & Water To Citizens:

This is going to be a very challenging experience, for the following reasons.

* People are desperately hungry, thirsty, dirty, messy, stink, angry, and desperate for help of all kinds.

* Being able to get people to wait in line to collect essentials may be problematic.

* Hungry and desperate people are not necessarily inclined to be patient either.

Security & Policing The Townships:

I don't know if the local police are still in charge, equipped to deal with this situation, or is even still able to do policing at this time. So the US and her allies there, will have to implement (with the Haitian government's approval), temporary policing of the streets, ports, townships, and distribution centers. Until some Official Order is established by the Haitian authorities.

After the 7.0 earthquake struck this Dirt Poor Island. All electricity went out, buildings (old and new) crumbled and fell, taking with it the lives of the occupants therein. National Communication lines were cut, as a result of the shock waves and tremors of this quake, which was followed by two subsequent tremors, which completed the cycle of devastation therein.

I can also imagine the fear, dread, and horror that all Haitians felt at this reality. Armageddon may have been on the minds of this Christian oriented people, most of whom are fervent believers of their faith, and upbringing.

The Presidential Palace, was not spared either. One would wonder whether that building would have withstood the shock. But unfortunately, may not have been constructed to withstand such a calamity either.

An Impoverished People:

Haitians have been an oppressed and impoverished people since the rule of Jean Paul Duvalier ak Papa Doc. When he died, his son Jean Paul Duvalier-Jr took office, and continued the same oppressive regime, supported by his militia Thugs called 'The Ton Ton Macoutes.' All subsequent Prime Ministers or government were either overthrown, or experienced a Coup De Etat by Haitian military. And it was so up to the rule of Of President Ariste, who was shunter off the island by US commandos, to make room for the current political administration.

Past Disasters In Haiti:

Haiti is no stranger to national disasters. Recently, it suffered a severe hurricane. Which caused massive loss of lives and property. Flooding of crops, cities, and mud slides, resulting in the loss of homes and personal dwellings for most of the locals.

Unlike their neighbors in the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, or the Caribbean region. Haiti does not have the disaster preparedness or infrastructure to deal effectively (if at all), with such disasters. So this current one, being the most severe on historic record, will be a big challenge indeed for the state, the volunteers, and all foreign relief agencies operating therein.

It was said under Saddam Hussein's reign in Iraq, that it was woe for the person who brought Bad News to Saddam. Because chances are, he would be advancing his own demise with that act.

The US Military Personnel & Messenger Of The Fallen:

This person who (I presume) is chosen or volunteers to deliver the sad news of a fallen soldier to his/her relatives, is not placed in the same situation. But in some ways have to deal with the re-action of spouses and relatives when bringing news of their loved ones death in combat. I understand that he knocks three times on the door of the deceased relative's door, and this knocking is commonly recognized, after so many thousands of instances it was used in the same manner.

Neighbors have also come to recognize the military personnel who deliver these messages, and pray that he does not knock on their door this time around. I can understand the dread, even though you already know that such reality is possible. But one can never be prepared to fully accept that reality, regardless of how you prepare you mind and psyche for such reality.

I say to that question NO. For the following reasons:

The US car manufacturing giants allowed themselves to continue making Large Gas Guzzling vehicles for too long.

Even when they were seeing a shift in preference for the Japanese models, that were cheaper, faster, swankier, used less gasoline, and was more affordable.

Yet, they continued to make those Gas Guzzlers, with minor changes in model designs and cost.

So when the Global recession hit the stage, potential buyers held their purses and wallets, because many were losing their homes due to the inability to pay their mortgages on time, or pay the increasing interests on those mortgages.

Coupled with major Job Losses nationally, causing most to work less hours, or for less wages.

This was the demise of the US car industry. And you may also be aware of General Motor's slide towards bankruptcy, and the others that the state rescued from also falling into bankruptcy.

America's car manufacturing heritage and global leadership is no longer, and may never be reclaimed in the near future!

As the world watched Israel let loose a barrage of military ordinances upon that small strip of land called GAZA, in response to what they called, 'a response to HAMAS and it's militia terror They spared no one, civilian or militia in this onslaught. men, women, children, old people. And most buildings that they felt needed to be destroyed in order to show their military might to the world.

The news media both within Gaza and without, was debarred from entering the territory anytime during or after Israel air strikes and incursions. All that was reported mostly was Israeli's lies to the world, from their own media people, who sold the war to the rest of the world, as though Israel was under seize, and they were fighting for their lives.

White Phosphorous:

This dangerous substance was also used by Israeli forces on the GAZA strip. People saw it exploded in the air, or landed on the ground, caught fire, and burned relentlessly, regardless of whether water was poured on it or not. Those GAZANS who were unfortunate to be victims of that phosphorous attack, was burnt beyond recognition, some were burnt so badly, that there lives were severely threatened, while others died after being burnt.

And yet, Israel denies that they ever used that substance, even after graphic pictures were shown to the world to prove them wrong and to be liars.

Resistance Is The Only Solution When Attacked Or Under Seize:

When the German axis invaded Poland, Czechoslovakia, and subsequently France, the people resisted by any means necessary. In France this resistance movement was called The French Resistance. And played a pivotal role in providing intelligence from the ground to the allied forces in that war, thus eventually leading them to victory

The same is applied in GAZA, by Palestinians who have been under seize for decades, while the USA & her allies pretend to care for the lives and livelihood of these people. All those talks hitherto by the USA, her allies in the Arab world, and Arafat, did not do anything positive to allow the Palestinians to have their own state.

But all they did was to appease the Israel, while they continued to steal the Palestinian lands, kill them surgically on a daily basis, prevent their movements within and without that region, and literally tries to starve them methodically. With the intent to humble and humiliate these people to the point of total submission to the Zionist's wishes and demands.

We Will Resist Until The End:

But the Palestinians have resolved to fight the Israelis until they give up, and let them be free from danger, murder, free to move in and out, and allowed to have their own sovereign state as they should as a people, whose lands were taken from them, given to the Jewish people from Europe, and told that they must accept their neighbor as legitimate.

Even after their greedy neighbors have continued to steal more and more of the Palestinian lands, destroy their crops, refuse to allow them to move around, seek employment, or live like civilized humans should.

I disagree with any legally binding Global Emissions Program, for the following reasons:

* Politicians who make proposals and may sign agreements committing their respective countries, may be doing their constituents a disfavor.

* Politicians do not hold Publicly elected office forever. Unless they are Dictators. And even they too are not certain about their longevity.

* Signing any agreement with legal validity will tie the hands of politicians who may or ay not be in office, should they renege on those agreements. Then who is to blame, or be held responsible?

Therefore, I strongly suggest that any Global Emissions Agreement between politicians at any Global Emissions Summit, aught to be taken in "Good Faith."

And the honoring of that agreement should be left to the states concerned.

Twenty or Twenty Five Nations (behind closed doors), decided for 190 nations? Totally un-acceptable for such agreement to have any teeth, because it was un-democratic.

Therefore, whatever it purports will be illegal, not legally binding, and un-acceptable!

EXECUTION:

* Each country will indicate how they will make necessary changes in their emissions project.

* Each country will be subjected to the same levels of scrutiny, transparency, and accountability for their promises/agreement.

This agreement is not legally binding, but will convey in spirit the resolve collectively and globally, to work towards curbing Global Climate Emissions that are harmful to the planet, and all therein.

Ten billion Euros was proposed (for ten years), to help developing countries cope with their intent to comply with this accord.

African delegates said NO to this agreement (more or less).

I was watching aljazeera.net tonight, where this topic was being discussed by one of it's anchors, and two interviewees. The anchor was contending that the Indonesian government currently, cannot afford to finance the entire apparatus of it's military institutions.

Historically, the military indulged in co-operatives and other legal and illegal operations to finance their coffers, and some filled their individual pockets too with the revenue earned.

Laws were passed by the current political administration for the military to surrender ownership and control, of all businesses they are managing or owns. But this seem to be quite an ordeal for the government, because most of those who serve therein, earn wages that are considered not commensurate to the risks they are exposed to, or for the National Security that they are liable to be called upon to uphold and defend in times of crisis.

So many indulge in undercover illegal dealings, that can be associated with those of the Mob or Drug Lords. Not only the Army is corrupted, but the entire military and para-military apparatus. Which sometimes indulge in activities that involves civilian deaths, harassment, abductions, and terror, with impunity.

Restructuring The Military:

What seems to be the solution to my mind are the following.

* A thorough assessment of the national defense needs of the Army, Navy, Maritime Corps, and Airforce.

* A thorough assessment of the National Police Precincts/Stations, Internal Security agencies, and Fire Fighting Brigades too.

Then deciding how large each segment or institution would be, could be financed, or is necessary in the overall National Security Construct.

* Then instituting some form of institutional and voluntary work programs within the Army, like Community/Housing developmental assistance, Road maintenance and Construction, Bridge building, and Disaster Preparation activities.

This MUST be instituted in order to keep these men and women meaningfully engaged/occupied.

Because an idle military contemplates mischief.

The Lisbon Constitution does not stipulate what the duties of the president will be. So asking prospective candidates to submit their names for that position, does not help anyone in deciding if he/she should run, because he/she will not know what is expected of him/her.

Therefore, it seems like the heads of states of each EU country, will be deciding (behind closed doors), who will be the preferred candidate. This does not auger well for Democracy, which this Union so boldly claims it upholds.

And whoever gets the nod, will not be the choice of the commonweal of all EU states.

And this final choice will also not be the choice of any election result of the entire EU commonweal either.

As the world watches and celebrates with the Germans, their 20Th anniversary of the accursed wall. Let us reflect for a while the history behind such walls, and how very difficult the people who were so divided is still unable (by and large), to fully overcome those that division mentally and psychologically, years after the wall that divided them came down.

Why Walls Are Unable To Create Security:

Walls historically were used to keep people in, like China under their ancient Emperors. To protect from invaders, like most western civilizations used to protect their peoples from invading armies. And what the Israeli government is using today (as they say), to prevent incursions of terrorists into their homeland.

Can Walls Truly Protect Any Culture?

The answer to this question is NO. All walls ancient or modern, had their flaws.

* Some were breached with help from within.

* Some walls were breached from underground tunnels.

* Some walls were destroyed by cannon fire.

* Others came down by the very same people it was built to prevent people from escaping to the outside.

Germany is a case in point!

After The Fall Of Any Barrier-What Happens?

Germany today is still divided mentally in many ways. Some of those who lived in the Eastern side before the wall fell, still hold memories of the days when jobs were secured, education was secured, and housing was secured. As long as you adhered to communist rules, indoctrination, and the lack of personal freedom to travel or express yourself.

Some still feel that they would rather have that system, than live in this current one of social and economic uncertainty, and in-equality.

However, these views are shared mostly by the older (over 30 thirties) generation, because most of them were either too old to make use of the opportunities that came with the fall, or refused to integrate or take those new economic, educational, and social opportunities, that came with the re-unification.

If someone was arrested or apprehended in a foreign country where the US & N.A.T.O. forces were or is fighting terrorism, with that government's approval of their presence there. Then, anyone who was actually involved in combat with N.A.T.O. or US troops while engaging in fighting terror. He/she would be brought back to the US or interned into any US base in that country, or abroad for questioning.

If it is determined that such arrests are unfounded, or no concrete evidence was unearthed that substantiate the allegations that he/she was indeed a combatant, then that individual must be set free. Or returned home to his country or to the country that he was arrested in.

Habeas Corpus:

In terms of habeas corpus for that individual. The US will say that a foreigner arrested in a foreign country, or on US shores or territories, is not qualified to be tried in any US Court Of Justice, because he/she is not a US citizen. But that does not prevent him/her from being tried in the country where he/she was arrested instead.

Could justice or the presumption of justice for these individuals be guaranteed in another country for their alleged crimes?

That is an open question. But the US and I presume N.A.T.O. are obligated to abide by the UN & Geneva Conventions which stipulate, that all combatants (uniformed or not), caught in any theater of war, his/her rights be respected under the UN Charter, regardless of whether he/she is guilty or presumed guilty of any war crime.

Could The Alleged Combatants Suit The US?

I guess he/she could file suit against the US or N.A.T.O authorities/governments if he/she feels that his/her Human Rights have been violated. And any suit can be filed in a Court Of Law.

But in the case of the US Judicial system, such a suit may not be entertained, because that person was not a US citizen at the time of arrest or incarceration.

And currently, under the Obama administration, a special Military Tribunal, conducted by the US military will be the forum where Innocence or Guilt is determined.

Well, if this is not selling out the Palestinians, what is?

This hypocrisy is endemic to the politics of whoever occupies The White House, when it comes to Palestinian Rights, Security and Justice.

As a former Trade Union Organizer, just let me explain the concept of Job Security!

Historically, employers that allowed Union Shops or Trade Union Representation, ensured Fair Wages, Healthcare benefits, Vacation Leave with pay, Retirement benefits, and Workmen Compensation benefits.

That was basically what was meant by job security. However, over the years, with the decline in trade Union memberships, organizational debarring or worker's representation, and out-sourcing. The concept went out the door BIG TIME!

What we have generally, especially for the Blue Collar industries, the Service Industries, and Manufacturing Industries locally, are the tendency to employ illegals, pay below minimum wages, no health benefits, no permanent jobs, and no Trade Union Representation, in most organizations today.

So 'Job Security' per se, has become a thing of the past!

I say NO. We may never know what might have been, had Saddam Hussein still been in charge in Iraq.

However, the US and her allies invaded that country, under the pretext that Saddam had Weapons Of Mass Destruction, which were never found, and proved eventually to the world, that the reasson for going there was a HOAX.

Thousands of civilians died, injured for life, and fled to countries that don't want them there, for safety and asylum. And thousands of US and N.A.T.O. troops also died and was injured for life too.

Looking back on all of this, I don't see any positive thing that was ever achieved, even the elections that were held there twice, was flawed, and the results still in question today. The Shia minority is now charge at all levels, revenge attacks from both Shia and Sunni groups still ravage that country.

And the distribution of oil revenues, regional governorship and governance, are still not equitably distributed, and managed. And The Kurdish State does not respect or fully acknowledge the Government in Baghdad as their superior authority either.

Let Governor General Karzai deal with the insurrectionists, this is not our war any longer. This is the view of many journalists that visit there regularly, and from Afghans themselves, when questioned.

What we are actually fighting are the Pashtun elements that identify with the Taliban's view of Islam and Jihadism. And some elements within the Taliban's dispirit groups in Afghanistan that are in it for several reasons, these being the following.

* To seek and destroy all foreign elements therein.

* To wage war against all foreign military forces from within their territories.

* To ensure that Islam is not compromised by any western concept of Governance via Western Democratic Principles, which totally conflicts with Islamic teachings.

* And to remove the Karzai government that was the brainchild, and has the support of the USA and her allies in Afghanistan.

Why Are We Still There?

The US went in to destroy EL Qaeda elements, Prevent Safe Havens, and Destroy Terror Training Camps. This was achieved some seven years ago, when EL Qaeda, (the Taliban's guests) were defeated.

Since then billions of US dollars, in munitions, hardware, infrastructure development, national security training, wages for Afghan Military and Police Forces, and payments of Compensation to Civilians for lives lost.

Which incidentally, are in the thousands, and growing daily.

Therefore, sending thousands more of US military personnel, will only INCREASE, (and this is also very likely to happen), the volume of American lives lost and maimed therein.

Even N.A.T.O.'S representation is dwindling at the moment, causing some concern among other nations, as to our End Game or Strategy in Afghanistan. This concern is also growing within the confines of the USA.

BRING our military HOME from Afghanistan by this year's end Mr. president. Or you will surely loose the vast majority of those YOUNG people who are dying there, and those millions who have supported you during the campaign for sure.

And I will harbor a guess at this time, that if you persist in keeping American troops there, and does not heed the call of Americans at home and abroad. You will regret it come the next general election!

The UN Summit & Colonel Gaddafi's Debut Remarks!

Gaddafi praised president Obama for his ascensin to the highest office in the USA. And cautioned that after he leaves. The White House & US politics may return to the G W Bush period policies (or words to that effect).

The Obama White House may not welcome this homage publicly.

Be that as it may, Gaddafi is back on the world stage as a responsible Head Of State today!

He also said that the UN Security Council should be called The Terror Council. He aught to know, because he is from that background!

Because they impose their will on the other states not represented therein. Furthermore, the member states are like those who speak at Hyde Park (In The UK).

We stand on a Soap Box, make a speech, and then disappear!

The UN Security Council's Composition:

Does not reflect adequately, the volume of member states represented. In fact, the developed countries, with two developing countries, decide with a vote, how the others should behave in an emergency.

This has to be changed, with great haste.

How could ten nations decide what is best for 190 member states?

I would like to commend president Obama for his decision to rescind the above idea. However, we must also not allow the current unknown nuclear potential of Iran, to cause us to do the same thing that we wanted to do in Europe. But erecting Radar Systems to monitor Iran's supposedly Nuclear threats.

I have been monitoring these issues for several years now, and cannot fathom the rationale for Iran to want to use nuclear missiles on Israel or any other Middle Eastern country. When the USA has an ally like Israel with nuclear capability, and could intercept any incoming missiles, and destroy them un-route from that country.

I also understand the political necessity for the president to do this right now. But I also know that it was a sensible and wise decision he has made, to re-focus our efforts to more tried and tested methods for protecting our allies and homeland.

AMERICA'S NEW WAR IN AFGHANISTAN!

Introduction:

This is a war that never should have been waged. It was concocted by the George W. Bush administration, with the view that some terrorist organization labelled "El Qaeda" was responsible. This group had it's terrorist camp in Afghanistan, and from that region, the plans and execution of the attack on the World Trade Center Towers on 9/11-2001, was realized.

However, there is no conclusive evidence to support this theory, nor is there any concrete evidence to support the suspicions that some foreign terrorists had the knowledge, logistics, and ability to topple two high rise buildings like those, with two airplanes that simultaneously crashed into those buildings.

And the subsequent internal sounds of 'bombs being exploded' in those same buildings, some minutes after the planes crashed into them. This was substantiated by many Firemen on the scene, workers who escaped from those buildings, onlookers on the scene, and reporters also on the scene, on that infamous morning too.

Part 1.

AMERICA'S NEW WAR IN AFGHANISTAN!

Terrorist's Attack:

On the morning of September/11/2001, two Aircrafts flew into the Twin Towers of the former World Trade Center in New York simultaneously, causing the death and injuries of several hundred occupants. Many of whom were foreign nationals working or visiting there at the time. These towers were 110 storeys high.

The Federal government via The President declared publicly, that Asama Bin Laden, (a notorious Terrorist) is the Prime suspect for this incident, and several other known incidents of this kind. Also, on the said morning another plane crashed deliberately into the 'Pentagon' on Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC. causing the loss of over one hundred lives therein.
Part 2.

AFGHANISTAN:

The TALIBAN or ruling overlords of Afghanistan seized power by Military Force, at the defeat and withdrawal of the Russian forces. In the chaos and confusion following these events, lack of an established co-ordinated and properly identified Leadership, a vacuum resulted, which was immediately filled by The Taliban forces.

Incidentally, the Taliban is a group of STUDENTS or clerics from the college of Clerics in Pakistan. These Islamic theologians have their own peculiar conception and interpretation of the 'Quran'. This fundamentalist doctrine is abhorred in several modern Moslem States in the Middle East. They enforced the wearing of the BORKA, (Veiling from head to the feet of all Moslem women), the prohibition of all radios, television, cameras, computers cinema, theater and any secular values of the Western hemisphere.

They indulge in willful and deliberate oppression of the Afghan people, killing and imprisoning anyone who refuse to abide by these rules. Disallowing the involvement of women in politics, or public affairs, and are not inclined to develop the war-ravaged cities of Afghanistan. Also abject poverty is very RIFE in the entire State of Afghanistan.
Part 3.

Americas' Military rResponse:

The First Phase:
On Sunday: October/07/2001, America and her British ally commenced assaults of missiles and bombs on Afghanistan. The Taliban and El Qaeda terrorist movement was the target. The 'Pentagon' said that any government, State or person who harbors, provide safe haven or support terrorists will be targeted by America and her Global Coalition of countries, in the Campaign against 'terrorists'. Along with this action, follows the dropping of much needed supplies of FOOD and medicine on the ground for Refugees fleeing from the Taliban, on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

TONY BLAIRS' ADDRESS TO PARLIAMENT:

The British Prime Minister (Tony Blair) reported to Parliament today (Oct/08/2001), on British and Americas involvement in the initial retaliation in Afghanistan. He stressed that ' Because the West failed to sustain relations with Afghanistan after the departure of the Russians, thus creating a political void for terrorists.' He also stressed that British involvement with the eradication of terrorism Globally for the 'long haul,' is assured.

In response to this message, The British Liberal Democratic Party Leader responded. 'A Regime they did Not Elect, And A Man Whose Mercy They Did Not Invite.' This was in reference to Asama Bin Laden as resident terrorist, and his terrorist activities worldwide. He further stressed that The El Qaeda network globally, must be rooted out and neutralized.

The Pentagon reported on (Oct/09/2001) that the air space over Afghanistan has been totally neutralized by the British and American forces. They also said that plans are afoot for another phase in the campaign against terrorists, the tracking down and rooting out from their caves, and other hiding places in Afghanistan. The President has also indicated that some sensitive information shared with Congress has leaked out to the press. He chastised them publicly via a Press interview on (Oct/09/2001). 'Sensitive information shared to anyone, must be held DEAR, and people must be made to understand that such leaks could be devastating to the lives of our armed forces.'
Part 4.

Yassar Arafats' response:

Yassar Arafat spoke to the League Of Arab Nations recently, he stressed that terrorism will not be condoned by his organization, and all those who violate this position must be prepared to suffer the consequences, via sanctions. He further stated that Islam does not subscribe to terrorism as Jihad, and the war on terrorism that is being carried out by America and a coalition of nations, are targeting terrorists and not Moslems.

Meanwhile, here in America the news media is placed in a dilemma unheard of before. The White House feels that it is in the interest of National security to chide the local media (Television). Advising them not to broadcast Taliban controlled News from Afghanistan, El Qaeda, or Asama Bin Ladens' propaganda. To edit out those parts which seem inflammable of events taking place militarily in that region, or that may spur a call to action by 'terrorists' worldwide.

CNN and other news media to date (Oct/11/2001), reported that Russian, American and British ground troops are operating on the ground in Afghanistan. In an attempt to root/flush out the terrorists or members of the Taliban, suspected to be hiding in caves, and seeking cover from the bombings.

On October/16/2001, CNN reported via Television the following figures.

(a) The total amount calculated to be dead at the former World Trade Center disaster is 5,017.

(b) The total amount recovered (dead) and identified during excavation exercises are 504.

Meanwhile, CNN reports claim that USA and other Coalition Special Forces are operating in Afghanistan at the moment (Oct/19/2001), and that some of The Taliban forces (especially the rank and file) members are defecting to the North.
Part 5.

The Northern Alliance:

The much revered (late) Commander of The Afghan Northern Alliance Ahmed Shah Massood. Who was killed by terrorists as he was giving an interview to two journalists. They were disguised terrorists!

He was the instrumental leader of the Northern Alliance in the war against Russia, and their defeat. He also fought The Taliban government, and so far was successful in driving out the Taliban from the Northern region of Afghanistan.

The Northern Alliance are a mix and varied set of Ethnic groups from the Northern regions of Afghanistan. They are in the main, strongly opposed to the Ruling Taliban, and have been fighting them ever since they took control of the Southern regions of Afghanistan. Within this mix, there is also strong dis-agreements about methods and policies in relation to governing the country after victory is achieved.

However, they are presently united in the fight against the Taliban government. They are by and large, a mix of fighters from the common people of Afghanistan, whose primary reason to fight is in Defense of their homeland. Sophisticated weaponry are sparse, eg ( Horse mounted troops) similar to a 'Calvary charge' is quite common among them. The Taliban are more equipped with modern weapons supplied by Pakistan, (its' ally), in the time preceeding the War on terrorists.
Part 6.

The Patriot Act of 2001:

This Bill was passed by The United States Of Americas’ Congress on October/24/2001, and signed into Law by President George W. Bush on October/25/2001.

The following are some of its' provisions:

(a) Any terrorist can be arrested on the grounds of suspicion, kept in custody from 1 to 7 days pending an investigation. After litigation, if found guilty, can be immediately deported from the U.S.A or its' commonwealth territories.

(b) This law gives the C.I.A, the F.B.I., and the Office for National Security, the right to access e-mail (opened or un-opened), extract data from computer hard drives (without permission or knowledge) from the suspect. Indulge in wire tapping of telephones, Cellular phones and any other medium of cyber communication, to attain evidence on a suspected terrorist.

This Act oversees all American nationals, Green Card holders, Permanent Residents & all illegal aliens in the territories of The U.S.A. It also contains 40 sections.

The United States Congress & Senate voted unanimously to approve this bill, and does not have access to its’ provisions. The US Attorney General & The Justice Dept. has arbitrary Privy to this Bill at all times, without restrictions.

CARNIVIR:

In light of the aforementioned law, brings to mind the system of Internet Snooping via (e-mail). The F.B.I. has the ability to intercept any information via e-mail as it proceeds from sender to receiver. And extract any information there from without the knowledge of either (sender or receiver). This has been done before (Sept/11/2001) terrorist attack, and will continue on any suspect/terrorist activist. I am not clear on the explanation of this acronym 'CARNIVIR.'
Part 7.

The Second Phase/Assault

Mr. Donald Rumsfeld (Defense Secretary) for the first time today (Oct/30/2001) said, that American and Northern Alliance troops, are engaged in joint maneuvers on the ground in Afghanistan. He further stressed that Military munitions and Food was being dropped from the air to the ground in Afghanistan, in an effort to equip the Northern Alliance forces with the necessities for the tasks ahead. The current situation was also given validation by British Prime Minister (Tony Blair), simultaneously via the media to Britons.

SPECIAL NOTE:

I think that it is necessary to clarify the underlying issues of this aggressive/militaristic GIHAD against the Western Powers.

It is generally felt by many factions within the Arab and Moslem communities worldwide, that America's Political/Economic involvement in this region, has created deep-rooted resentment among many people in Arab and Islamic dominated States.

It would seem that ever since America's War on Iraq, and the build-up of American forces in Saudi Arabia. Perceived by several fundamentalist Moslems, as a Defamation of Sacred Islamic soil, and the degradation of her Holy lands.

Albeit, if we use this analysis to determine the reasons behind the 'Call To Arms' advocated by Asama Bin Laden and the El Qaeda movement. Then it is safe to assume that we are faced with "A Holy War," as perceived by these extremists and terrorists.

It is not unusual to see children from the age of twelve, with little or no schooling, volunteering to fight alongside their adult counterparts. As comrades in arms, fighting to overthrow the Taliban. Many of these children are quite adept in using Stinger missiles, other arms and munitions, with the proficiency of a trained soldier.

Fox news on (Channel one) reported on November/03/2001 that 415.000 jobs were lost in the U.S.A, as a result of the terrorists attacks on (Sept/11/2001).

Donald Rumsfeld: U.S.A. Defense Secretary:

In an interview with reporters on November/06/2001 at The Pentagon he said, 'We will Deal Decisively and Aggressively With Mass Murderers.'
Ironically, the US military is presently using aerially inflicted bombs called 'The Daisy Cutter'. This 15000 lb bomb is dropped from an aircraft by parachute, explodes a short distance from the ground. It covers an area with its' deadly cargo for over 15 acres, and makes a crater of about 25 feet deep. This type of bomb is being used on suspected caves and other dugouts that Taliban forces are hiding in, to 'Flush them out', as the Pentagon infers.

One wonders at this time, and the inability to meet the Taliban forces openly. And the tendency for them to mix with civilians, occupy civilian domains, poses great temptation to use this weapon indiscriminately, if desperation gains the upper hand.
Part 8.

Mazar-e-Sharif:

This is the first Taliban controlled city that is now under the control of The Northern Alliance forces, according to The Pentagon public briefings today (Nov/09/2001). Though they maintain that it is still not confirmed, because of inadequate visibility (due to dust filled air) hovering above the ground, thus making it difficult to view from Satellite cameras.

Capturing this city paves the way (and possibility) of getting closer to Kabul, (The Principal City). Maza-e-sharif has an airstrip, which was built by the Russians when they were the occupiers. This infrastructure is vitally necessary for the deployment of ground forces, and for transporting equipment and munitions, for the military campaign ahead.
Part 9.

The Exodus Of The Taliban:

The Pentagon reported on November/13/2001 that The Taliban were fleeing in droves from the Capital city 'KABUL,' following the relentless un-slaught of the Northern Alliance forces. The Pentagon and The President of the U.S.A. is not in favor of any invasion by the Northern Alliance forces in Kabul.

This fear stems from the experience in the recent past, after the Exodus of the Russian forces from Afghanistan, the vacuum chaos and genocide following their departure, warrants hesitancy. Until a Representative coalition/interim administration, reflecting all ethnic groups is formed.

Also the 'Pashtunes' comprise 40% of the ethnic majority of the Afghan population. They are mostly situated in the Southern regions of the country, by and large more supportive of the Taliban, and must be a part of this coalition or administration, if some semblance of Peace or Order is to be attained.

Albeit, The Northern Alliance forces seem to be on a roll, they have taken the Provinces of 'Jalahabad' and 'Harat' so far, and is continuing on to 'Kandahar,' the Political stronghold of the Taliban.
Part 10.

Wah-Hab-ism:

Sometime in the 1700's, in the region that is now called Saudi Arabia, "Paganism' was practiced by the people of that entire region, following the decay of Islam. At the demise of the prophet 'Mohamed,' and his devoted followers. There was an Arab merchant/leader whose concern for the restoration of Islamic principles, felt that he had to do something. With his influence and persuasion, prompted the Ruling Elite to undertake the task of advocating for the return to BASICS or (Fundamentalist Islam).

Thus re-creating this rigid group that is now referred to today as TALIBAN or Wah-ab-ism. When Saudi Arabia became a sovereign State, the Royal House, incorporated this Islamic Ideology as their National Policy for rule and control.

Special Madrasi schools (as they were called) were established to teach the Quran, consisting of these Taliban/Wahabist Imams, To solicit and indoctrinate the ignorant and gullible, to achieve the goal of Islamic Jihad against non-Moslems or Infidels.

Today we see the revelation and perpetuation of such teachings and trainings, in Asama Bin Laden and the El Qaeda movement.

Part 11.

Mohamed Atef: (Heir Apparent):

It is commonly suspected in The Intelligence Communities that Mohamed Atef is considered the next possible successor to Asama Bin Laden, if and when he dies or is killed, as the Political/Ideological Leader of the El Qaeda movement. He was a former Policeman in the Egyptian Police, also Son-in-law to Asama Bin Laden, after his daughter married Bin Ladens' son. This arrangement appear to have strengthened the trust and confidence that Bin Laden has in him, and consolidating his position as 'heir apparent'.

CNN television announced on November/16/2001 that Mohamed Atef was presumed killed when US Military strikes destroyed a building housing several top-level members of El Qaeda in conference. The Province of Kunduze is at this date (Nov/12/2001) surrounded by the Northern Alliance forces. The province is also being attacked simultaneously by The British and American Special Forces. Asama Bin laden is still not caught, and is suspected to be hiding in the caves of this region. There is also some defecting and in-fighting among The Taliban, according to CNN and the Pentagon.

Part 12.

The Seize Of Kunduz:

Today (Nov19/2001) U.S.A. Defense Secretary said on television, that The Township of 'Kunduz' is under seige by The Northern Alliance Forces. This is the gateway to the city of Kandahar. Within this town it is believed that some Taliban troops are massacred their foreign comrades. These are mainly non-Afghans, who show signs of defecting or surrendering to the Northern Alliance forces.

According to Mr. Donald Rumsfeld, the U.S.A. would not want her Afghan allies to enter the town without first trying to encourage defectors. Also the British and American forces operating in this region are too small in numbers to accept prisoners. Therefore, there is no guarantee that if El Queda and The Taliban forces do not voluntarily surrender, there is a chance of them being killed in battle.

Part 13.

The Capitulation Of Kunduz:

CNNs' reporter on the ground in Mazar-e-sharif gave a stunning Teleconference Report tonight (Nov/21/2001), on the current situation on Surrender Negotiations in Kunduz, between representatives of the Northern Alliance forces, The UN, Pakistan and other representatives with The Taliban. Also the socio-economic and political realities existing presently in Afghanistan. At this time, the following infrastructure is lacking or non-existent in the country.

a. There is no established Law Enforcement or responsible means for Law and Order.

b. There is no functioning Electric Power Supply throughout the State of Afghanistan.

c. There is no proper Sewer Disposal in all of the cities; even 'Out-Houses' or 'Latrines' are non-existent.

d. All roads are destroyed or non-existent in most of the cities; bridges and dams are also destroyed.

e. The Educational System was shut down 20 years ago when the Taliban overran the country; therefore, children have not had any formal schooling for over 20 years.

f. Children from the ages of 5 years work in the Carpet making factories, along with their Adult counter-parts; "earn 8 cents per day," working from Dawn till Dusk. This meager pittance at least gives them the opportunity to buy a loaf of bread for that day.

These are just a Fraction of the problems that exist in Afghanistan at the present time.

Note: The Mayors' Office has declared publicly that the final Body Count of the former Trade Center disaster are as follows; Presumed dead (625); and Missing (3,021), as @ November/24/2001.

Meanwhile, the deposed President of Afghanistan said that all Afghan Taliban troops that surrendered would be spared/pardoned. And the foreigners eg Arabs, Pakistani's and other nationals involved, be dealth with by The United Nations.

He further stressed that The United Front (as it is now called), is trying to encourage talks for an Interim government or (Loyal Jirga), and does not want anything to do with those foreigners that were involved in this conflict.

Part 14.

Afghan Summit In Germany: (Nov/27/2001):

Representatives of The United Front Alliance, The Pashtunes, and The exiled King of Afghanistan commenced discussions today, at a round table in Bonn. There were five (non-resident Afghan) women represented at this conference. The US President said that 'women must play a part in any Interim Administration or Government.

Mr. Bush also stressed that if all ethnic groups do not have proportionate representation, especially the Pashtunes), the Front Line Alliance cannot expect to get any Aid from his administration in the future.

Hello, Hello!

The Pentagon made public today (Dec/03/2001), that three Americans were discovered fighting for the Taliban in Mazar-e-sharif. These prisoners of war were discovered by the Northern Alliance nee (United Front) forces, following an air strike on the outskirts of the city of Kandahar.

The names of two of them has not yet been verified, but the other one is 'John Walker Lindh' of Washington, DC. (self identified). He was handed over to the Americans for questioning.
Part 15.

New Interim Administrator:

A new Interim Administration of Afghanistan was elected by the ethnic Representatives in Bonn. Hamid Karzai, (an ethnic Pashtune tribal leader) is The Interim Prime Minister of this Administration. This position's tenure will be for six months, until the Internal Tribal Leaders could establish a permanent Administration.

The Great Escape Of The Taliban:

"Oh-How The Mighty Falleth."

This was the reality today (December/07/2001; of the Taliban forces and Leadership in Kandahar, when they realized that their days were numbered.

With the total siege by The American Special Forces and Marines of the City of Kandahar, the Taliban sought surrender terms with the new Afghan administration, and amnesty for Mullah Omar, a formidable foe of terrorism and an El Qaeda strongman.

The Pentagon said 'NO,' and warned the Afghan administration, that if such concessions are given to El Qaeda members, it may interfere with future help from America. However, the US Special forces, along with The United Front forces, is continuing with the pursuit of fleeing Taliban members into the Caves of Tora Bora, a mountainous region.

Part 16.

Where Is The Smokimg Gun?

The Pentagon declared today (Dec/16/2001), that most of The El Qaeda forces that were fighting in the mountains of Tora Bora have surrendered, (220 killed and 11 captured). There are still pockets of resistance fighters holding out in this region. They are being pursued by The Eastern Alliance forces on the ground, but Asama Bin Laden is still not found, and is presumed to be on the run somewhere in this region.

Defense Secretary of the USA said that the war on terrorism in Afghanistan is not yet over, until the entire El Qaeda organization and its' allies are flushed out and brought to justice, regardless of whether or not Asama Bin Laden is caught (dead or alive).

Today (December/18/2001), the former King in exile of Afghanistan, gave Interim Premier Hamid Karzai a gilded Quran in Rome, his blessings- wished him Peace and well being, at his new position and responsibilities.

Part 17.

A New Dispensation:

Today (December/23/2001), the Interim Premier appointed, Hamid Karzai was officially sworn in, along with thirteen other Ministers, two of whom were Women. These positions will be held for six months, until A New Coalition can be formed, leading to elections for a democratically elected government.

In the meantime, The American Special forces and their British counterparts are still combing the hills of Tora Bora. In pursuit of pockets of fleeing Taliban and El Queda fighters, in the hope of finding Asama Bin Ladens' body (dead or alive), among the debris.

British Special Operations Troops are arriving via Kandahar's airport to perform Peace-keeping operations in Kabul, and for the protection of The New Government, until The United Nations multinational forces arrive in January/2002, to assume the responsibility for National Security.

A Single Globally Recognized-Accepted & Preferred Currency For Exchange Purposes!

Here is another suggestion by some of the world's Influential Financiers, and Caucasian World Leaders, suggesting this concept, with the view that with such currency firmly in place, could prevent another or similar Global Financial Crisis, like the one we are now experiencing.

The upcoming G-20 Summit of political leaders will be discussing this idea to some extent supposedly. And I wonder if those who advocate for a Global Financial Currency for Foreign Exchange Purposes, fail to realize that it was not the foreign currency of any one country that caused this crisis.

It was the GREED, the SCAMS, the Irrational Risks taken by Bankers, Investors, Traders, and Greedy Brokers, who felt they knew how to Scam the works, Make A Killing for themselves and their clients. Until their Calculated Risks went awry.

Now they want to re-invent the wheel, to facilitate themselves once more, in acummulating more wealth, more control of the world's wealth, and more Concentrated Greed in the hands of those like themselves (mostly White men), who never seem to be satisfied with spreading the wealth.

But is bent of acquiring more and more wealth for themselves, their kind, and their communities.

My Cold War Years Remembered!

As a child growing up in British Guiana, the Cold War was something of a mystery out of some Novel or Movie. I heard my mother and neighbors mention from time to time, how EVIL The Soviet union was, and how they are planning to use nuclear weapons on the Western hemisphere, because us here in the west are Evil Capitalists, and is a threat to Communism and the ultimate Communist quest for global implementation.

All of those things sounded to me very strange and grave, to say the least. Coupled with that, I would see movies that showed individuals who sought asylum into the USA, and was referred to as DEFECTORS from Communism. And I wondered to myself if that place was really that Evil or Bad, to cause citizens to want to flee from there?

In my naivete, I believed most of what was said on the radio/wireless, the television, and at the movies. And there was an enormous volume of movies showing The Soviet Union in a very negative light, socially, politically, and as a military threat to the West.

I was also very happy when I heard of someone who managed to DEFECT to the West successfully. And the local newspapers showed photos of all those that were able to escape the so-called Iron Curtain. That description also sounded very sinister to me too.

The Fall Of The Berlin Wall:

When the fall of that wall was in progress, I was in amazed, and all the while, watching on television how many Germans from the Western side tried to assist those who were hanging from the wall, or trying to scale it, with the help of some Border guards, But mostly German citizens on the Western Side.

And I wondered how much longer will this continue before the East Side guards said enough was enough, and started shooting them, or started preventing anymore from getting across. But the flow continued un-abated, without interference.

When this man shook his fist with a shoe at the podium, that too made me wonder if he was telling his people, that in time there will be a war with the west. And that he was prepared for it too. Yes, a child's imagination running wild at that time.

Also when US president Ronald Reagan visited there, and the
S.A.L.T. treaty was agreed upon. I felt much relief from that experience and knowledge. I believed that with that trip, and agreement between these two powers, the world was a much safer place to be in now.

Is The Cold War Truly Over?

I believe for those of us who lived during the Cold War era, experienced the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the building and stock piling of Nuclear Weapons between the USA and Russia primarily. It is extremely difficult to put that fear on hold. Or to forget that period in time.

But the current generations of world leaders may not have such baggage to deal with psychologically. And may be better equipped mentally and psychologically, to operate more favorably with Russia, and other states, with or without nuclear weapons.

When the National Opposition Supporters revolt was taking place, all those who called themselves leaders of the revolt, came on board, and encouraged the resistance to continue.

Now that they have been arrested, and threatened with their lives, they all cringe in FEAR and COWARDICE.

Is this the kind of leadership that NEDA and so many hundreds died for, fought for, and struggled for, during the crisis recently?

Is this the kind of leadership that wants to reform the system or governance in Iran?

Is this the kind of leadership you can believe in, expect to be represented by, and protect you in times of crisis?

I say NO. These so-called leaders are now stomping at the pit, begging for mercy, and trying to save their own skin, at the expense of all those who suffered and believed it was worth the struggle.

SHAME-SHAME-SHAME on you all. You have allowed your own self-interest, self preservation, and family interests, to overshadow something that was and still is bigger than your COWARDLY actions.

All those hundreds of Iranians who took to the streets, believed in what they were doing.

That was why they took the risks they took, believing that their leaders would be there for them at the end.

Now we see Wholesale COWARDICE and weakness, that warrants PITY and REVULSION from all those who supported the revolt internally and globally!

The only way forward for all Guyanese and their political leadership, is to ensure that those who want to represent all of the people, co-op a policy or mandate, that espouses the following:

* A National Political Party that incorporates all Ethnic group's involvement, and encouragement in politics, and national policy.

* A Political Leadership that espouses Parity and Inclusion of ALL Ethnic groups and Representatives, regardless of religious, regional identity, or associations.

* A Political Leadership that does not incorporate elements that were complicit with criminal activities ( known or legally sanctioned) in the past, and did not knowingly encourage separation, ethnic prejudice, or preferences, or ethnic profiling for discriminatory reasons.

* A Political Leadership that has the commonweal's approval via a transparency, free and fair general elections, with the necessary access to

All Media time slots, with Equal Footage, and with some State Funding or assistance towards helping candidates who need it, for the associated expenses that canvassing entails.

* And the assurance that The National Constitution would be respected, not be altered or amended to allow any President or Prime Minister, to extend his/her term in official office.

These are just some of the assurances and policies that any national political party and candidates MUST respect, Encourage, and Adhere to, in order for this nation to move forward.

Notorious Viktor Bout, Suspected Gun Runner, now in a THAILAND prison awaiting trial. Is no different from Blackwater and other contracted killer organizations that work for a price.

And that America uses in Iraq & Afghanistan, and elsewhere. To do their DIRTY work for them. So what is the BIG FUSS being made of this man who sold guns and other munitions, to states that need them?

Viktor Bout, is a FREE LANCE businessman, and a thorn in the sides of those big corporations that do the same thing, with state contracts. And he was probably getting business that they feel they deserve. In other words, he was providing competition his competitors cannot handle.

So they conspire to have him removed from the scene via their client states, like the USA. Thus this so-called trial ensued. He may be found guilty, pay a fine, and probably serve time. But this just goes to show the hypocrisy of this entire fiasco!

The war there cannot be perceived as successful for the following reasons:

The TALIBAN are part of the pre-dominant Ethnic group called the PASTHUNS. This group by and large supported the Taliban since before the war, and still does, to some extent now.

The other ethnic groups there also in many ways, depend on the Taliban for daily sustenance for crops they cannot grow or sell successfully. So they sell their services to the Taliban's insurrectionist policies.

Some Ethnic groups grow the Poppy crop, that is vitally needed for their own sustenance, and to provide the finances for the Taliban group's insurrectionist efforts, to oust all foreign troops from that country.

President Hamid Karzai has finally come to realize that his governance cannot survive, much less thrive without the inclusion of some elements of Taliban leadership. Especially in the South, where they are very influential and control; all aspects of that part of the country. Coupled with that reality, are the fact that not all ethnic groups are supportive of his government, and will continue to listen to their War Lord's leadership for directives, and give them support whenever they require same from them.

This is the current reality in Afghanistan. And whoever emerges victorious in the upcoming national elections, govern effectively without pandering to, or catering to all ethnic groups in that country.

After the political victory is assured, the new government MUST ensure that all ethnic groups are represented therein, have representatives regionally in positions of Local Government, so that the Central government will be able to directly influence what if happening in the various regions of the country.

And also ensure that whomever represents the Central Government in Kabul, fully understands to who loyalty is required, and operates transparently, credibly, and without social, religious, ethnic, or political preferences.

Kim Jung IL: Bill, I prefer to deal with you. Not Hillary. She has too much lip, for her own good!

Furthermore, I take back what my people said about her!

However, could any other journalist deliberately/accidentally cross into North Korea's territory and get the same treatment and release?

This scenario tells me quite clearly that those two women did not accidentally cross North Korea's border. They took the risk knowing fully well what they were doing. But hoping to make the entrance, do their spying, and return to the USA to tell the tale.

However, they were caught, and was about to do some 20 years in uncle Kim's Labor camps.

I hope this sends a message to other bravado journalists to resist such temptations.

The US Economy's Decline Is Almost Stabilized:

The Obama administration seem to believe that the national economy has reached Rock Bottom, and the rate of un-employment is decreasing steadily. So how are we going to know for sure, when employers will re-hire fired employees, start hiring again, or even resort to giving back their employees the normal forty hour per week work schedule?

The current data indicates that un-employment is at 12 %. And that figure will increase, but not greatly as the National Economy Stimulus Package starts taking effect. Any yet I saw in the news that New York State governor is complaining that as yet, he has not received his state's Stimulus Package monies.

So I am wondering about California's economy on the verge of bankruptcy, with layoffs in the thousands, Federal spending cuts in the millions, shorter working hours across the board for almost every industry or enterprise. And I ask myself if the American people could continue to hold on much longer, hoping that things will improve in their respective areas anytime soon.

Furthermore, only 3% of the Initial Stimulus Package was invested in the economy, so those who are thinking about another stimulus package, should acquaint themselves with the facts, before anticipating catastrophe just yet!

It is generally understood that the current International Copyright Laws MUST be updated to allow for the Freedom to Access, Share materials of all sorts on the Internet, without the infringement of governments, commercial interests, and imposed Legislation.

The point I am making are the following:

* Any individual male or female, adult or child MUST be allowed access to the Internet.

* Internet access MUST be FREE.

* Internet use must be based on need, affordable provider, variety, Fiber Optic technology, and without Commercial Coercion.

* No Internet user should be denied access to the Internet if he/she downloaded music, or movies from another Internet user.

* No Internet user should be judicially penalized because he/she shared files (music, movies or videos), with friends or contacts on the Internet for FREE.

* And no Internet user should be penalized by any Judge, the State, or Private Enterprise, because he/she downloaded some copyrighted material from another Internet user online, for FREE. To view, or listen to, regardless of who legally owns it.

So long as those Internet users did not personally sell those materials that they accessed freely.

Furthermore:

There seem to be the attitude of some governments and commercial enterprises to suggest, that Internet users MUST comply with their wishes. And this attitude and behavior conflicts with the established understanding, that the Internet was originally created for FREE use by anyone who chose to do so.

The Political Problems In Africa Today!

I watched a discussion on your france24.com television today. And there was a discussion that one of your anchors had with two African women about Africa's plight currently. Unfortunately, these two women tried in their own fashion to explain some of the problems there. But was unable to CLEARLY do so, in any coherent and logical manner.

And I was very disappointed by this lame and inept participation from these two women.

I would have imagined that anyone attending such a interview on TV would have at least prepare some written pointers, so that they would be able to have it at hand when that question arises, to aid an intelligent response.

But I guess some of us are not so inclined to prepare beforehand.

However, I believe that most of the African states, especially where there is a dictatorship, or military governance, the commonweal have little or no choice, but to go along with what the state espouses.

Mainly because the state controls the national media/radio, the press, and the Internet (where that medium is available).

When it comes to national elections, the commonweal does not have viable and credible political representatives to identify with.

Much less trust to represent them with clear and identifiable policies that the people want.

And finally, most local politics are based on ethnicity, and ethnic preferences. And this very often is used by politicians, and the state to divide the people politically, regionally, and nationally, in almost every election process and preparation.

Since the military overthrow of Saddam Hussein, and the subsequent Democratically elected Shia controlled government and Parliament. There has been some worrying and concerns with how the National Oil Revenues will be distributed.

Legislation was enacted since 2003 in the Iraqi Parliament, ratified and passed into law, but have not been implemented as of yet.

It pertains to the entering and approving of all Oil Contracts with foreign companies, and how the revenues will be distributed.

However, at the present time, the Kurdish government in the Kurdish controlled region has already entered into Oil Contracts with foreign companies. But under the current Iraqi Legislation, those contracts MUST be approved by the Central Government in Baghdad.

Therefore, if any oil contract is entered into without the prior approval of The Central Government in Baghdad, those contracts have no legal bearing, and would be null and void under the current laws.

Meanwhile, the potential for Iraq to produce huge quantities of oil, and export increased amounts of oil is tremendous. And there are still many oil fields that have yet to be explored and developed in several regions of Iraq.

The US military was protecting all of Iraq's Oil fields since the invasion started. But that will soon come to and end, with the handing over of such responsibility to the National Security Forces of Iraq very soon.

Could Nuclear Missiles Be Eradicated From This Planet?

Firstly, let us acquaint ourselves with those states that possess nuclear armaments.

* Russia. * The USA. * Israel. * India. * Pakistan. * China. * France. * The UK.

All of the above countries have nuclear and inter-continental ballistic missiles in various quantities, (known and un-known). And are telling the rest of those other states that are pursuing this technology, or is actively developing such technologies, to CEASE, or ELSE!

Why Pursue Nuclear Missiles?

The USA was the first and only state that have used nuclear bombs on another country. Two Atomic bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during the war with Japan and the US. Millions were killed, enormous property damages and total obliteration of all human, animal, and plant life ensued.

Today in those areas in Japan and surrounding cities that experienced the fallout, thousands die annually from cancerous ailments. inherited from their parents who were exposed to the Radiation and Acid Rain contamination.

And despite all of this evidence that provides graphically the consequences of a nuclear disaster or war. States are still pursuing nuclear arms or nuclear technology, with the intent to build or develop nuclear armaments.

Could A Cessation of nuclear arms be possible anytime soon?

The so called S.A.L.T (Strategic Arms Limitation Treaty), that was concocted between the former Soviet Union and the US, are due to be renewed soon. And the current Obama administration in Washington-DC is trying to re-negotiate a new or improved treaty, that will allow for the reduction of the amount of WMD's to a certain agreed upon quota, between the USA and Russia. So that in the pursuit of nuclear deterrence and prohibition to those states that do not yet have this technology or ability, will reconsider the global ramifications if they continue along these lines of pursuit.

All nuclear armed states should be compliant with the rules!

Currently, the so-called democratic state of Israel have used military strikes against Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine, Several thousands were killed in Lebanon, hundreds in Palestine, and they continue to threaten Iran with a pre-emptive military strike, if they perceive Iran to be close to having a nuclear weapon. This kind of sovereign paranoia that Israel displays, creates the impression internationally, the they are allowed to do whatever they see fitting (if they feel threatened), regardless of whether this perception is real or not.

And the US allows it to do so, while looking the other way, using the excuse that Israel must protect her sovereignty whenever she is threatened or attacked.

But at the same time, North Korea, and Iran are berated with Heavy Sanctions just for not complying with the US (primarily), and her allies wishes and demands. This kind of double standard will never be tolerated by those countries that feel threatened by the presence of US forces, influence, and operations in their regions and territories.

OBAMA Addresses AFRICA From GHANA-2009!

Due to poor satellite transmission, the audio and video of this visit may not be too good to watch or listen to. However, here is my take of what president Obama has said to all of Africa and Africans.

Governance:

In this regard, president Obama stressed the need for transparency and good governance throughout Africa. A Free Press where there is none, and the ability to dissent or protest against the political administration. Because these are some of the methods through which democracy is practiced.

Equality Under The Law:

* In this regard, president Obama stressed that all Africans and people everywhere MUST have Equal Rights Under The Law, especially in a democracy. And that states MUST never use power to Change The Constitution to allow any political administration to extend itself in power, or to favor any administration in power.

* America and my administration Abhors the Manipulating Of Constitutions, Free Press Curtailments, Coercive and Oppressive Governance.

* Lack of Transparency & The Rule Of Law, and Equal Opportunities For All Africans.

Education & National Service:

In this regard, president Obama stressed the need for YOUNG PEOPLE especially, to get involved in community/nation building, via a good education, community service, and positive actions in their personal lives.

And hold their political leaders and administration accountable for any failures, corruption, or un-transparency in the political process of governance.

Finally:

Most of President Obama's address was directed to all of Africa's leadership and populace. He mentioned his family history and ties to Africa, and how former Africans who became slaves, contributed to the economic growth of their slave masters.

But today with independence in most former colonies, an educated African elite and commonweal, they must not rest until all of Africa realizes it true potential economically, politically, and globally.
