Was The Rush To Pass The Bailout Bill Based On Fear Tactics?

I have watched for the past few days when George W. Bush made public the economic crisis facing this nation. Along with his Treasury Secretary, who took the liberty to further emphasize that unless some immediate action to allow billions of tax payer dollars into the system, to boost the flow of liquidity. Something sinister may happen to this economy, thus causing a total collapse of our economy, and possible the worlds.

This led to the passing of the new and improved Senate's version of this bill.

However, some Republicans and Democrats in the House did not fall for this hype, and held on to the view that they will not be party to any corporate "Big Wigs" bailout, at the expense of the tax payers, because they felt that this crisis was caused by the greed of some Brokers and Investors on Wall Street. In an un-regulated Free Market System which was allowed to have free rein for the longest time without some Federal regulations or oversight.

This led to an impasse, which led to another crisis of fear, propelling some SERIOUS compromises that allowed for the injection of PORK, or provisions that had nothing to do with the 700 billion allocation objectives. To the amount of 120 million dollars ( or something in that vicinity). Just to appease those disgruntled Republicans and Democrats in The House, to come on board and vote in favor of this Rescue Initiative.

Now I wonder if these political representatives in both houses, especially the presidential candidates really believe that the commonweal does not realize what truly happened in the House today?

Does our political representatives truly believe that the gravity of what is involved in this rescue package or initiative, is fully understood in DETAIL by most Americans?

I think not, and Heaven help all of these political representatives, should this money fail to even make any significant difference in the lives of ordinary, blue collar, minimum wage earners, and the middle class. Most of whom have most to loose in this action, and nothing to gain in the near future of any significance.

In order for these candidates to deliver on the promises made during this campaign. The democrats MUST have a MAJORITY in The House & Senate.

If we end up nominating Hillary Clinton, and if she wins the general election later this year, and does not deliver a majority in both houses.

Then we will be back to the Clinton era, where we still have not had a majority in both houses. Therefore, will not be able to get the important bills passed into law.

Defining The Presidency & The commander In Chief!

It seems like the media and Hillary Clinton is placing more emphasis on the role of "The Commander In Chief," without defining the criteria for qualification!

* The Commander In Chief of the US armed forces, is embodied in the person or the president. That is his or her role over the US Armed
Services, in war and in peace.

* The president is the Chief Administrator in the White House, which is based in Washington-DC. He or she is responsible for US foreign affairs, the State Department, the appointing of Judges for the Supreme Court, and vets all legislation that passes the House and Senate after ratification.

These roles are equally important, and the person who is elected to the office of the presidency, does not necessarily have to have a military or business background!

Therefore, none of these candidates have the experience, or held that position before. Nor did they have the opportunity to appoint any Supreme Court Judge. So the question of vetting, or relevant experience outlined by Hillary Clinton is "FALSE" and self-serving!

The US Supreme Court has ruled 7-2 on the continuation of the Death Penalty by lethal injection. This comes after a moratorium was put in place pending their decision.

The theory of satyagraha sees means and ends as inseparable. The means used to obtain an end are wrapped up and attached to that end.

Therefore, it is contradictory to try to use unjust means to obtain justice, or to try to use violence to obtain peace. As Gandhi wrote: "They say, 'means are, after all, means'. I would say, 'means are, after all, everything'. As the means so the end..."

The Essence Of Satyagraha:

Is that it seeks to eliminate antagonisms without harming the antagonists themselves, as opposed to violent resistance, which is meant to cause harm to the antagonist. A Satyagrahi therefore does not seek to end or destroy the relationship with the antagonist, but instead seeks to transform or "purify" it to a higher level.

Senator Barack Obama said today on the Chris Mathews TV show 'Hard Ball,' that when the American people stop paying attention to their governments actions, that is the time they get screwed. (Or words to that effect).

So what we have to do now, is to keep focused on Washington, when he gets elected. So that we do not get screwed once more!

NewsFlash -Zimbabwe's Elections:

Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has lost the national elections there now. Morgan Tsvangirai (opposition leader of the NDC), has won the day. As this nation waited in frustration a fourth day without official results in the race for president, the main opposition party of Morgan Tsvangirai announced its own final tally, proclaiming victory with 50.3 percent of the vote to Mr. Mugabe’s 43.8 percent — just barely enough to avoid a runoff.

The national election commission is yet to make that determination. Speculation has it that the results were 50/50.

And no party was able to get a majority!

Bad Voodoo Warriors!

This is a special platoon of US special servicemen who are currently deployed in Iraq as convoy protectors. Yes, they are using this platoon to escort convoys to and from various locations with deliveries of various military and Iraqi civilian necessities. Many of these men have been on several tours in Iraq before.

But they are not the typical military combat unit or platoon, but specially contracted to escort convoys. Which can be very dangerous for these men. Because it places them as sitting ducks in their vehicles from IED's explosives which are very often placed on the highway routes they travel.

These men do this because it is their job to do so. But are not happy with following Iraqi Police directives for safety or delivery tasks. Because they suspect that the Iraqi Police are infiltrated with terrorists, and one does not really know 'who is who' at any level, in this hierarchy of security. And this type of operation is not what they have been trained to do.

Furthermore, many of them feel that they are merely marking time in Iraq, because the Iraqi government is calling the shots on movement of US military forces, and combat involvement. So when they are threatened on these routes by insurgent fire, they cannot stop to engage them as they would like to do in defense. But keep moving if they could or if possible from the scene of combat.

The general desire of most military personnel in Iraq, is for the total withdrawal of all our military and fighting personnel from Iraq. Even though they are expected to say the opposite on camera or in public. But this desire is commonly shared by most enlisted men currently!

What Causes Some People To Inflict Deadly Harm On Others?

I have been following the spate of murders, rapes, and violence of every sort in the USA recently. And have come up with some of my own hypotheses.

* Most individuals who experience personal violence to themselves, either verbally or physically, overcome much of these experiences overtime, and get on with their lives.

* Some people see violence of every sort within their families, neighborhoods, and possibly during their teenage years in school.

* While others who have never had such experiences in the family, neighborhood, schools, or in the community at large. Are able to inflict deadly harm on others at a whim. And one wonders what may have caused these acts of severe violence towards others.

Conclusion:

Personally, I feel that some violent natures are generic. Generic to a parent or parents who may have done some grave harm to others in their lives for some time. Therefore, their offspring inherited those genes.

I also feel that KARMA, or the actions of some ancestors that were un-paid or atoned for, passes on to some progeny. Many of whom may never know of such action or actions, because of the spiritual law of "Action and Re-action," that in some cultures they refer to as KARMA.

All of these factors, plus the individual's own inability to deal rationally with injustice, or perceived injustice, low self-esteem, self hate, drug and other substance abuse problems, and guilt. Are factors that contribute generally to how individuals view themselves in society, and behave towards others when they feel threatened, dis-respected, or dealt with unfairly.

Is this woman capable of delivering anything positive for George W. Bush's administration before his term ends?

For centuries the Greeks have used the olympiad to garner support, sell patriotism and bravery to all those who cherish their ideal of manhood, bravery, nationalism, and excellence. This was tied to Greece's perception of itself as a people, a culture, and the belief that with self-discipline, hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance. The human animal could achieve remarkable strength, and endurance, which would propel him to excellence.

This ideal was made graphic via the Roman gladiatorial arena, where slaves, and those aspiring for freedom from servitude used this arena to garner their freedom. They were able to purchase their freedom after several victories in the gladiatorial arena. And the victorious gladiators were viewed as desirable objects by women after their victories in the arena.

The Roman overlords who owned slaves of their own, used many of them to earn large sums of money in the gladiatorial arena, and also to sell the Roman cultural superiority, at home and in the conquered territories.

Today, government sponsored athletes are the ones (in the main) who can afford to attend these Olympics. Because of the expenses for preparatory training, travel and accommodations. National Clubs, and State sponsored funding is vitally necessary, in order to send representatives to these Olympic games.

Why Is Hillary Clinton Still In The Race?

Mike Hukabee (republican) candidate said that 'the race ain't over till the final qualifying number of delegates is achieved So he stayed in until John McCain reached it, before he finally threw in the towel.

Hillary Clinton is in the race for no reason but to be in the race. And to possibly give Barack Obama more and more heat, to the point of exhaustion, or possibly frustration with her, hoping that he might say or do something stupid, that will hurt his chances for the nomination.

Both candidates cannot achieve 2,225 delegates with the un-coming states left in the race!

And Hillary Clinton knows that, but stays in anyway, for some miracle to happen, or for the Super Delegates to favor her in the end!

Tonight it struck me that the old scriptural adage that says, "From Dust You Came-& To Dust You Will Return."

And then I realize what humans have been doing for centuries to cheat that conception. They have been making coffins made from Lead, Gold, Concrete, Silver, Sarcophagus,and Hydrogen liquid, to preserve or prevent a corpse from decaying.

But the fact is, that when you physically die, your body or corpse creates maggots that consumes your body. Then the bone structure eventually deteriorates.

Regardless of what that corpse is placed in.

The Hillary Clinton-Barack Obama Debate In Texas-2008!
This was a true debate. Much more in keeping with the nature of a debate. And is the best debate between these two candidates so far. It was civil, respectful, and each candidate stated more clearly, (especially Senator Obama), the specifics of each their proposals. The universal health care coverage was the most spirited between the two. But Senator Clinton continues to use her past performances and record in public life as the qualifying agent for the nomination.

Unlike Senator Barack Obama, who feels that he has the judgement that makes for a true and effective leader and Commander In Chief. This he explained when making the point about the decision by president George W. Bush to go to war with Iraq. And the consequences of that war, which hinged primarily upon the failure to bring it to a successful end.

At the end of the debate, Hillary made a very moving statement about their roles in this campaign, and her admiration for Senator Barack Obama's campaign and abilities!

Yes, CNN-Fox news and other US media keep asking themselves and others the following.

* Why is Mike Hukabee still in the Republican race?

Mr. Hukabee has said on television UMTEEN times already, that he will be in the race until the end. And that means when any one of these candidates reaches the FINAL targeted amount of delegates to qualify for the nomination.

And that's that!

So I get annoyed every time I hear CNN and others keep debating this DUMB question on TV, when it has already been established, that Mike Hukabee will be in the race to the finish.
